Thai wage committee upholds 2.37% minimum wage increase
ikke1959 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I think you misunderstand my post... I know 15k is too less, but it is much more than the 370 THB a day nowadays. There must be a start.. Monthly salaries for 6 days a week working.. Companies will cry fool as it is too expensive, but they have to do it...and with so many holidays and extra days off people on dily wages have to work or don't get paid either. with 15k a month at least they are free and have their salary paid. Ok not much but a salary of 500THB a day is better than 370 I think.. It is just a start -

It is a start......at least better than they have now .... No I am from Europe where the people fought for their rights and were brainwashed. maximum 6 days a week working and not more max 8 hours a day... But here they shout it is unaffordable too expensive, but how much money is in the pockets for the top? They could miss a bit I am very sure -

It is the responsibility of the traveller/tourist to have a health insurance. Communicate that instead of offering free services...For a Schengen visa it is an obligation to have a travelinsurance

Tax reduction would be very good. Overpriced wines will not be bought by many expats. When I am in Europe I can drink in a restaurant a good quality wine for 15 euro. Here a bottle of chateau Migraine is even more 900 THB is no exception, only because of tax. And to atrack tourist and boost the consumption of alcohol stop with the sales and buying hours. Sell to adults only and if you doubt ask for an id.. I have grey hair enough so they will see I am not underaged anymore. Besides even at wholesale businesses like Makro there is no possibility to buy.. Childish enough they block the area with chains and don't dare to get in for a look as they send you out.. Little bit more adult behavior should be in place but as long as people come back from Israel carrying Thai flags i fear the worst

Thai tourism revolution: Duty-free ditch and booze bonanza
ikke1959 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Most tourists buy their stuff somewhere else.. Duty free shops in Thailand are overpriced and with the restrictions of alcohol and cigarettes there will not be so much to earn for the Government, but what else could they think with their brains?- 78 replies

Capital’s governor wants to reduce smoke emitted from grilled pork stalls
ikke1959 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
What a stupid idea.. there are more cars driving around with blacksmoke that pollute more and get rid of all old cars of 25 years and older.. grilling pork will not help so much, but fine burning ricefields, and factories that will emit much more -
People want single minimum wage for the whole country – NIDA Poll
ikke1959 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Minimum wage should be 15.000 THB a month for working days not more 25 and 8 hours a day... No bullsh..t that it is too expensive, or impossible. or whatever.. People are still treated as slaves here in Thailand. Long working days 7 days a week and for 350 THB a day?? and the companies and CEO and Government earn millions...and yes, who plays more on the cellphone instead of doing their job , is responsible for him/herself when they are vfired. Probably when you work you can't have time to play the cellphone. If there is so much time in your job, that you can play the phone than there is not enough work for you -

No news.. I have said it already months ago...with a conservative Government that only does pocketfilling, and nothing to improve tourism, infrastructure, double pricings, and manipulated THB it is no wonder that it will go backwarts... and of course blame the pandemic but other countries had the same and do better -

On Sunday morning I usually do the same... when the alarm goes of I wake up, switch of the clock and turn myself around to sleep further.. Same with the education problems in Thailand.. They are awake now, but after New Year everything will go on as it was and will be, as the government don't want educated people. They know and see things and that is a threat to them clock
