Digital Wallet Scheme: Over 1 Million Vendors Join

I can't get out of my mind that there is some tricking thing in it.. I suppose that everybody will be checked for tax payments as the shops and stalles as well as the people who apply for it.. Nothing for free and as many Thais don't pay any tax this could be an opportunity for the Government to get more income -

Man Kills 2-Month-Old baby in Thailand, After Mother Refuses Sex
ikke1959 replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Rai News
20 years ago i was on holiday in Nakhon Sawan province and in the morning about 11 o'clock, my Thai friend and I were eating in a small restaurant chicken with rice and noodlesoup. In the back there was kid not older than 2 years and crying. The grandfather told the kid to stop crying, but as it could not talk of course, he said it again. But the kid cried and he took a thin bamboo stick and hit the kid 5 or times with it, not softly and I stood up and wanted to give that a kind of the same with that stick, but my Thai friend told me not to interfere as it was Thai custom, just normal.. I never went back ever to eat there.. So I don't know from which country you are but in my country this is surely not normal -

Man Kills 2-Month-Old baby in Thailand, After Mother Refuses Sex
ikke1959 replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Rai News
In the past years by reading all kind of news like this i am wondering if something wrong in the brains of Thai people.. It is not that it are incidents anymore, but it seems to be a part of their life.. It seems that everything is allowed to do if they want sex or money.........How can you normalize and get rid of this kind of behavior?? Even if they should give him a life sentence or deathpenalty, tomorrow someone else will do something like that.. raping their kids or grandchildren, hitting them not normal for minor offences, killing mothers and fathers because of.... I don't know it anymore In the meantime when I was writing this another incident: https://aseannow.com/topic/1333606-ex-husbands-rampage-leaves-five-dead-across-two-provinces/- 98 replies

Thailand faces investment challenge post-1997 financial crisis
ikke1959 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Maybe start with entering the 21st century with amended laws and rules for alcohol sales/buying hours, e-cigarettes, electric vehicles, welcoming tourists, get rid of teh influence of army and superrich, Stop with overpricing, chasing the money of foreigners by scam, double standards, extra taxes and expensive imported products and now the new tax rules. and there many more things to do just to stimulate the economy.. get rid of all cables, put them in the earth, clean and deepen waterways before the rainy season, make a good and not corrupt policeforce... and of course give people a decent income as 400 THB a day is not of this time anymore.. Better would be 15k a month so that all days off are being paid too. It will do more good than a one time handout- 9 replies

Move Forward MP Advocates for Legalising AVs and Sex Toys
ikke1959 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
THailand has to stop controlling its people... Nothing wrong with sex toys, and AV , surely because on internet you can find videos you want..And many people do it.... So why control everything? make people responsible for their own lives.. This is a good move from MFP to enter the 21st century -
e cigarettes, drugs than the normal cigarettes too... E cigarettes are even less dangerous than the normal tobacco... But the industry will not like it and besides that many tourists who are vaping will never come to Thailand anymore.. The more they try to control everything the less it will work and more being destroyed

House approves 122 billion baht digital wallet scheme budget
ikke1959 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The people have to apply and prove how much money in a bankaccount and how much they earn.. as 500k in bankaccounts and /or 70 k income are not rewarded.... and aa 75% of Thai people don't pay taxes. there is probably more tax money to find if they apply... -
House approves 122 billion baht digital wallet scheme budget
ikke1959 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
OK let the country go down now..... see what will happen next year...... IT looks good that there is a peak maybe, but with the pay back and interest the burden will surely influence the budgets... Or another possibility is that the Government is making an effort to have an insight of how many people should pay taxes and don't do it yet.. So these people will maybe get a tax paper next year -

Alcohol Sales Prohibited in Thailand on July 20-21, 2024
ikke1959 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Good for tourists who come and enjoy their holidays... Restricted alcohol sales hours and religious holidays no alcohol at all... Only available in Thailand as hub of tourism industry...Purpose still unknown as monks in principle are not allowed to drink alcohol but that is always... People who practice Buddhism is advised to stay away of it, but they are not forced, unless in Thailand where there is always a way out..... -
