When doesn't the Government stop helping these hotels... If they are too expensive no innovations or lack of good service people will not book them and when they get bankrupted and that is good for the ones who are doing their best and fulfill the wishes of the customers. It is called doing business.. Some times you win sometimes you loose and if you don't do anything your business is doomed.. Easy peasy

In many countries there are fixed prices from airport to hotels.. Why not possible in Thailand?? Government should intervene as the taxis are unable to work with fair prices..

another crackdown on black smoke cars.. as far as I know cars have to be checked before paying tax.. Why are these cars passing the tests?? and why is the RTP only checking if the tax is paid instead walking around the car and check brake lights, black smoke, licenseplates?? Nothing to do with 20 year old cars.. In fact there should be a program to take them of the road and and replace them with new or younger ones.. better for the air quality too

THan the problem is that there is no control how the condo's are used..so illegal hotels should be closed, but here in Thailand with the attitude of mai pen rai everything is possible. and than with the corrupt RTP, and officials no wonder it is a mess... But change the rules because it is a mess is a bit strange... enforce it, check it and close down when not according to the laws. Why must always the rich being helped

Yeah then the Chinese mafia just buys 75% and then buys 25% in Thai people their names, who they control, now they run a building.
It is not one or 10 appartments it is about the whole building....

Maybe start with the proper registration of the 25.000 which don't have it now.... and a single condo can be owned already by foreigners, but the whole building?? who on earth would buy a whole block of condos?? It needs many many millions

And lots more businesses will go bust or pull out of Thailand.
Not every employer is a rich, golf playing git with a chauffeur driven Mercedes.
No I know, but when people have money they will buy more and that will benefit everybody... from the shop in the street to big companies, but people see only the costs and not the benefits. Always trying to cancel progression

It's not just the 400 thb per day for workers, but a rise in minimum salary for new graduated university workers from 15,000 thb to 25,000 thb per month!
Indeed and 400 THB is not enough either it should be at least 500/600 THB a day.. or better pay monthly 15k than are all the holidays paid too for these people... Look how many free and substitute days are being cancelled and that will be better for the economy too

It is impossible to go forward if the old laws are not being upgraded, The 10k scheme is a burden for the country and will not do any good, but the raise of the daily wage is much better. The businesses are afraid it cost money, but when people have more money to spend they will sell more and it will be paid back. Besides that it is a long term investment as people get every day more salary. But with dinosaurs in the Government, people who only think how to get more money in their billions wallets, and keeping the people poor and uneducated it is impossible to break the monopoly.
A big reform of the whole country is needed, instead of taxing people and goods as that will not solve any problem

Amazing democracy in Thailand... If you can't get what you want change the things to your convenience even by someone who is not elected, in fact has nothing to do with the Government or a party, is a criminal that has bend the rules already for his own sake... Anyway a lot of people don't like him anymore so we hope that it will reflect the results of the new elections too.. Pheu Thai must be ignored, they have done nothing yet for the country and probably will not do anything in coming years than a burden of the 10k handout scheme

not 100% ownership don't buy it.... Thailand can not be trusted with their flip flop laws... and restrictions... How do they think foreigners are?? Come to Thailand pay here tax and if you have to pay tax more in Thailand than in your home country you have to pay the difference anyway in Thailand. As a reward you can't own anything for 100%, have no rights and have to deal with dual pricing, pay extreme taxes on imported goods... Hooray Thailand the hub of chasing away foreigners. expat, retirees and tourists

How would that work, companies /factories would not like paying more ,as has been said when the minimum wages increase is announced, and how would the government pay the increase ,factory workers on the books ,can be paid ,open to corruption, but a high percentage of the workers that need the money work in agriculture /building trade ect.no paper work, here today gone tomorrow, no records.
Just would not work. the only way would be, as has been said, use the registered welfare card, that has been going for a few years now and it works
It would work if there is a good registration system instead of the blue book... Everybody should register on the address they live, and everybody should fill in a tax form with what their job is, where they work and how much they earn.. and than indeed on the welfare card there could be money to pay the rest the company won't pay... But now it is a mess as nobody knows where someone lives, what work and how much they earn. How can you help people?.

The money is a one time handout and will not help the economy but will a heavy burden on the country for several years... There would be a much better plan to handout to real needed some money, but therefor they have to know who is living where and doing what and earn how much as I wrote several times already. Then they could raise the daily wages from 350 THB to 500 THB or 600THB, which would do much more good to the economy than a one time payment. People would get more money to live with. But again the Government has no clue who is living where doing what and earn how much.

Keep the people dumb that is easier to rule..... If people are starting to think and respond on everything there will be a lot of problems for the Government, army and elite.... But with the ignorance now it is easy and the few who stand up are being put in jail or threatened.... Same in fact as brainwashing and make them lame

Have a look at the Netherlands where this is allowed 23 years:
20 years of gay marriage in the Netherlands: 20 thousand couples | CBS
"Marriages between two women are of a shorter duration than marriages between two men or between a man and a woman. Of the women who married another woman in 2010, 26 percent were divorced after almost ten years (on 1 January 2020). This is almost twice as much as for married male couples (14 percent). The divorce rate among heterosexual couples is comparable to that of gay male couples: 16 percent were divorced after ten years."
CBS = Central Buro of Statistics in the Netherlands, so a reliable source.
yes but here in Thailand people can't get married yet and besides that in Thailand a lot of marriages are not legal but only for family.......That makes it easier to separate, while in the Netherlands there are also other possibilities to get a legal relationship such as a cohabitation contract, legal partnership etc...

No topic for the constitution I think...Constitution should have only the basic right for Crown, country, people and religion... all the rest should be arranged in normal laws..

Happy that the same sex couples will be able to get a legal status, although several posts here have no clue what they are talking about, but think that with jokes they are funny.. It is annoying to read that many people have no clue what it is to have no rights in a relation, especially when decisions have to be made in serious illness or funerals... All what is more about inheritage, and adoption are less important for people, it is just needed for the basic rights. Adoption is a choice and I am ok for those who want it, but for me personal it is important that my partner can arrange my funeral or make decisions when I am unable to do it anymore.....

Thailand reduces school hours in major curriculum overhaul
in Thailand News
Posted
Don't cut the study hours, but stop with all wasted time like in the morning standing for the national anthem, praying listening to endless speeches, practicing for wai kru, unnecessary meetings with nothing but boring students, and stop especially with extra study hours after school.....
I know students who have to go to school to 6 pm because of extra classes, in the weekend a whole Saturday and even in the long holiday they had to go to school with only 1 week ( the week of Songkran ) free...If time is being used to teach and really good teaching instead of copying what a teacher preaches there could be made a good schedule that even classes could be halved. 25 students max in a class ...
But the Government cut study hours without any cut in unneeded activities and keep so the students dumb. Every foreign teachers knows how much time is spilled in schools
