Trump's AI Generated Video of Gaza's Redevelopment
Hamus Yaigh replied to Terrance8812's topic in Political Soapbox
So thats OK then, he's not as daft as we first thought. -
LOL. Jeez. This is both misinformed and opinionated! Unfortunately, your experience with the MMR vaccine and your child's development is not supported by scientific evidence. First, the MMR vaccine does not cause autism. This has been extensively researched, and the evidence overwhelmingly shows no connection between the vaccine and autism. The claim that autism can be caused by vaccines was based on a fraudulent and discredited 1998 study. Second, the symptoms of autism don’t just “fade away” after a few years. Autism is a complex developmental condition that lasts a lifetime.

Updates and events in the War in Ukraine 2025

I expect the Ukrainians have a good deal, as no one likes to be the victim of a shakedown by allies when getting invaded by another aggressor. -

To make America Great Again from within ,Patel & Bongino head FBI
Hamus Yaigh replied to riclag's topic in Political Soapbox
Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent and conservative media commentator, has been appointed as the new deputy director of the FBI by President Trump. Known for his outspoken support for Trump and his controversial statements, Bongino's selection is causing controversy due to his lack of operational expertise and experience in law enforcement. He began his career with the New York City Police Department and later joined the Secret Service in 1999. Bongino has run for Congress multiple times and has published books about his time with the agency. He was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2020 and has been hosting a podcast and radio show since 2015. Bongino, a conspiracy superspreader, has been criticized for promoting misinformation and conspiracy theories on various topics, including the 2020 presidential election and the FBI. - source: anywhere online that is not full of right wing extremist bs. -
Unforgivable war crimes committed by Russia on the battlefield
Hamus Yaigh replied to AndreasHG's topic in The War in Ukraine
It's sad to see the mind numbing effects that indoctrination can have on people. The comment by @The Legend who appears to be misnomer, fails to consider the complexity of the war in Ukraine, the immense human toll it has taken on the Ukrainian people, and the consequences of Russian aggression in Eastern Europe and beyond. First off, the comment dismisses the suffering of the Ukrainians who have lost their lives, homes, and loved ones in the war. This sort of callousness is incredibly insensitive and disrespectful. Secondly, it ignores the fact that Ukraine is fighting to preserve its sovereignty and democratic government against an invading force. @The Legend making that comment seems to be deeply misinformed and potentially influenced by Russian propaganda. Ukraine has been a sovereign nation since the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, and it has held several democratic elections since then, including the election of Volodymyr Zelensky as president in 2019. The claim that Zelensky has “refused elections” is simply false.- 160 replies

People who think this are in a deep state of delusion. It’s commonly used by right-wing conspiracy theorists to describe what they see as an entrenched bureaucracy in the government that undermines and thwarts conservative policies. That Musk now has his hands on SM to expand conspiracy theories and lies is all the more alarming.

You seem to one of those with “Trump Idolization Syndrome” (TIS) where every bizarre and obscene gesture Trump makes for his own personal gain to the global stage can be seen to do no wrong and if it does seem questionable, as everything he says does, them blame it on the previous President who has long gone. Trump and Putin share certain ideological views, such as skepticism towards multilateral institutions, opposition to globalism, and a belief in authoritarian leadership.

Why would you love this idea? If the United States were to weaken its support for Ukraine and other democratic nations in the face of Russian aggression, it would indeed create a perception of impunity for authoritarian regimes, and potentially encouraging China to invade Taiwan. The idea of global stability is built on the assumption that nations will respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of other nations. If major powers start grabbing territory from each other, it could lead to an escalation of hostilities, alliances shifting, and even wider conflicts.

Bill to ban mRNA vaccines passes out of House committee
Hamus Yaigh replied to Red Phoenix's topic in Covid/Vaccine
These concerns are not entirely misguided: Existing vaccines: It's true that current rabies vaccines are effective, but mRNA vaccines offer potential advantages, such as rapid development and deployment. However, it's also important to consider: Scientific evidence: mRNA vaccines have shown promising results in clinical trials, demonstrating their safety and efficacy. Global health needs: mRNA vaccines could provide a rapid response to emerging threats, like pandemics, and address unmet medical needs in resource-poor settings. Innovation and advancement: mRNA vaccines represent a new technology with potential applications beyond current vaccines, including cancer treatment and rare genetic disorders. While your comment are valid, they should be balanced against the scientific evidence, global health needs, and potential benefits of mRNA vaccines.
