If I was aged between 5-61 yo I would ask for the lower rates as in all cases I would be "up to 61yo". Otherwise if I was older than 61 I would expect free entry. If I was under 5yo I would ask my parents to sort it out. If there was another notice with prices for Thais that was cheaper, I'd walk.

I don't understand this at all, but maybe because I am thick! But how on earth does this work, you would not even get a boarding pass for the kids as the check in staff do a lot of the immigration requirements beforehand and the check in staff will want to know the kids have permission to go without the Thai parent?

The bizarre thing is, having driven in southern Thailand for many years, hogging the right hand lane seems the norm anyway. Especially pick up drivers carrying local produce, they never use the left lane.
