Krungsri Interest Rates
Hamus Yaigh replied to Foxx's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
In my book 2.22% is no different to 2.2% or pretty pathetic to use your phrase, when you can get 15% just investing passively in stock markets like the S&P500 index funds or more actively for much larger returns. -
Just another day crossing the road...
Hamus Yaigh replied to brewsterbudgen's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
This fine lil ol wisdom is coming from the man who had no idea there was farang doctor in Thailand, oh Haimus to be sure to be sure ! 😁 Thanks for telling us Pop Anyone who can equate the knowledge of doctors working in Thailand with the basic instinct on how to cross a road has perhaps spent a little too long on the wacky baccy or got more serious issues. -
Trump's Climate Rollbacks and Renewed Fossil Fuel Push
Hamus Yaigh replied to Social Media's topic in World News
No pandering to the doomsday cult? Utter horse manure. This is dismissive of legitimate concerns about the impact of climate change on the planet and future generations. While it's important to approach these issues with a sense of balance and pragmatism, it's also important to take them seriously and consider the long-term consequences of energy policy decisions. BTW he quit all the BS 5 years ago. -
Just another day crossing the road...

Surely it should be an animal instinct to check ones own safety. Even dogs look both ways in Thailand before crossing the road. -
Musk is a smart guy. He knows how to spin a story his way when his own personal interests are at stake. We all heard what Trump said and Musk is spinning it.

When was the last modern US election with riots if you exclude the last one when he was in the WH? Don't worry about it, this time he'll be at the poolside in Mar A Largo.

Complete nonsense. No prizes for guessing which orange face appointed Carr to the role to start with. -
Biden’s 'Garbage' Gaffe Could Give Trump a Political Edge
Hamus Yaigh replied to Social Media's topic in World News
That people have time to discuss such insignificant nonsense when there are far more pressing issues says a lot about the mindset of those with a say or vote in the election. -
Skynews Australia is not Sky News end of. Its just a parody site of what Fox News could have been if they let it go uncontrolled. I'm only in this thread for a laugh to look at all the extreme divisive rhetoric that echos off the insides of your collective skulls. Here's a clue, Biden isn't running.

To answer the op it does stagger the mind on why someone would want to vote for a president who has the following legacy: Said Mexico would pay for the wall and they never paid anything. He sides with Russia and North Korea over the CIA. Said in 2015 he'll replace Obama care with a great new plan in 4 weeks. 9 Years later says he still only has a concept at the Trump/Harris debate. Says children are being surgically operated on in sex changes without parental consent at public shools. Says windmill noise causes cancer, and called the wind bullsh.t! Chooses electrocution over sharks in a sinking ship? Sells stuff, NFT collectable coins, made in China Trump Bibles but cannot mention a verse in the bible, diamond watches, golden basketball boots. Talks about Arnold Palmer's penis size. Speaks about immigrants eating pet dogs and cats but doesn't know if it's true as he read it, whilst being against fake news. Says the election result will only have two results, he wins or they cheat. His own daughter, his own previous VP and numerous member of his own previous administration will not support him today.

Well hell, it makes more sense than locking up his friends... The kind of mad rhetoric that rubs off on the MAGA worshipers and starts from the top down. #fascism.

Confirmation bias, emotional attachment and tribal group think. Animal farm comes to mind. When people are unwilling or unable to objectively evaluate evidence and instead rely solely on their existing beliefs or emotions, it becomes difficult for society to make informed decisions and hold leaders accountable. The danger of this type of thinking is that it can create an echo chamber, where false information and flawed reasoning are perpetuated within a group, making it increasingly difficult for members of that group to break free and consider alternative viewpoints. In a healthy democracy, citizens need to be able to think critically and evaluate evidence objectively, even when it contradicts their existing beliefs or preferences. When this ability is eroded, it becomes easier for demagogues and authoritarian leaders to manipulate public opinion and undermine democratic institutions. Ultimately, it's up to individuals to take responsibility for their own beliefs and actions, and to be willing to question their assumptions and engage in open and honest dialogue with those who hold different views.

I am willing to be proved wrong, but I call total BS on this as foreign doctors are not permitted to service the public in Thailand.

Not to be taking extra KM's out of the way and to be charged more than the App states... I think you missed that point. I did see the OP's point that the driver took an alternative route and even stopped off for his lunch on the way. Only the OP knows why and has the opportunity to review the ride after the fact in the Bolt online app. My point was anyone who gets a taxi in stand still traffic jams and rush hours is asking for higher billing.

My Microsoft Word has been 'deactivated'. What can I do?
Hamus Yaigh replied to siftasam's topic in IT and Computers
Whilst other Office software packages can open, edit and save MS Office documents the formatting might not always look the same. This is a disadvantage when working in a business environment or elsewhere when consistency is essential. Beside that additional tools such as macros and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code are powerful tools in Microsoft Office, data analysis tools particularly in Excel, that allow users to automate tasks and customize their workflow. However, support for macros and VBA may be limited or nonexistent in some alternative suites, which could be a deal-breaker for power users who rely on these features. -
If you get in a taxi with this kind of traffic what else do you expect?
