that's how quarantine is supposed to work, spread it around a bit before isolating
Not for me, I don't have Covid and had my first AZ vaccination yesterday. Zero adverse effects, not even a sore arm.

total over reaction by this bloke.
if he attempts to come back, he is going to need to pay for Quarantine, and also 100,000 US Dollars health insurance for the WHOLE TIME he wants to stay in Thailand.
Good luck with that.
The vaccine will be available here very shortly for anyone that wants to buy it
100k Health insurance for the whole time of your permission to stay. Likely to be 3-4 months for me. UJ steered me to an excellent provider in Thailand.
Fully aware of the quarantine rules, hopefully 7 days for me.
Equally good luck to you in getting the vaccine, in Thailand, any time soon.

Having read comments from polpott I get the feeling that once he tries to return from the U.K. he will have mega issues my wife who went to the U.K. and had a valid extension of stay as well as her re entry permit was not allowed to return to Thailand . I can visualise polpott turning up at some airport with his passport duly stamped only to be turned away I did note that there was no mention either from him of having a return flight . I wish him look but without all the requirements required and it is considerable plus what would be a 7 or 10 night quarantine stay in Bangkok I think he will be drinking a lot more pints of Stella back in the U.K. !
The restrictions on travel abroad will almost certainly be lifted before the end of May. I qualify anyway as needing to return for property issues.

Dont you have too home quarantine first for 10 days?
I know someone who went back recently she needed to do her quarantine first and she was booked for vaccine the day after her quarantine finished.
According to Gov.uk website medical appointments are excepted. I have my appointment letter and receive my vaccine in 5 hours time.

Why is it a requirement to have a fit to fly cert then arrive in Thailand with COVID, you can't teach STUPID
Now no longer a requirement for a fit to fly certificate for foreigners.

Something else to consider for anyone flying back home for jabs
It's highly likely that booster jabs will be needed later perhaps annually to deal with mutations, etc.
It's unknown at this point whether MIXING vaccine brands will be OK or not.
I normally travel back to the UK annually for a couple of weeks and always have a full check up with my doctor. Haven't been for 2 years due to Covid. I would welcome the booster.

For me staying in Pattaya I'm starting to freak out and envision an inglorious return to my Nakhon Sawan house.Having pre existing conditions and an impending trip abroad, I have been self isolating for almost 2 weeks now. I don't enjoy living in a permanent state of paranoia so need the vaccine asap.

Just now, Jingthing said:What about special Covid requirements?
I had heard that you need to apply to the Thai embassy there and that reentry permits were not enough anymore.
Cof E required from Thai embassy. Covid test, $100k covid insurance and reason to return currently required. Can be done online. Not a problem. Hopefully not more than 7 days quarantine.

Stop off at the Black bull, near RP.H. and enjoy a pint in the beer garden.
Will be stopping off at the pub opposite my house before starting my quarantine. Pint of Stella and full monty on order. I believe that GPS signal is unable to differentiate between my house and the pub beer garden. 20 yards apart.

Just now, Jingthing said:What kind of extension are you on? Do you intend to come back? My understanding is that there are big issues coming back but I have a hard time keeping up with the specifics of that.
Will be reentering with an extension of stay and a re entry permit. Both valid until late December. No issues returning for me in 1-3 months time.

Just now, Pattaya Spotter said:Comparable sized countries, like the UK, France, and Italy, having the resources, have gone full in for vaccinations...let's look at the numbers of deaths to date:
UK...127,000
France...102,000
Italy...118,000
Thailand...117 (including yesterday's 7).
So which country, by your standard, has cared the most about saving lives? (And selfishly hording the world's vaccine supplies doesn't seem to have done these countries any good if minimizing deaths was the goal.)
UK 20 deaths today from a peak of 1600 at the end of January. New cases 2400 today from a peak of 68,000 at the beginning of January. More than 60% of adult population have received at least one dose of vaccine. 1 in 5 have had 2 doses. Vaccines work, lockdowns work.

What immigraton changes? Proposals by a nomark who has no influence on the government which even if they were accepted would only affect wealthy foreigners (Chinese?). Nothing here for ordinary retirees.

This is nothing more than fans choosing to continue to bend over for the top tier Clubs, PL, and UEFA, and not the now deposed ESL. Unfortunately, many fans probably think "they won", when that is far from the truth. More the case of agre yeing to get screwed by the lover you know than getting screwed by someone else. This was all about others people's money and their power games and they got rightfully kicked in the teeth for not getting buy-in (if that was even possible). Dream on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th tier divisions....opium for the masses.
Que? Are you from Barcelona?

The problem with making bangers and mash in Thailand both for me and local restaurants is that the sausages are <deleted>. Where did you get yours and how good were they. They look good.

If you don't want the vaccine by all means don't get it.
An anti vaxxer having the vaccine would be like a Trumpette not voting for Trump. he's nailed his colours to the mast, no vaccine for him.
Me, I fly out tomorrow night and have my first vaccine appointment on Saturday lunchtime.

Chances of foreigners over 60 getting covid 19 vaccination

Untrue. Thailand and UK have almost identical populations, less new cases in UK yesterday compared to Thailand despite UK doing vastly more testing.
Thailand may have been safer a few weeks ago, not now.
