A user’s guide to Thailand’s new digital health pass

I have tried many times and I cannot get the PIN code to advance to the second step. It is sloppy programming. -
A user’s guide to Thailand’s new digital health pass
cjinchiangrai replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Sure, we will feel safer at the mall knowing that the Qanuts are not allowed in. -
Mild fever after the sinovac for a day. Sore arm after the Astra Zenica for a day. Happy to be among the few people in the village vaccinated. The virus finally made it to our village last week after a girl returned home from the city with an infection. The family is in quarantine and everyone is scared. There are a lot of old folks here and very limited vaccine supplies.

Thai Govt hopes tourism can be revived as COVID subsides
cjinchiangrai replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
They are jumping the gun. Just look at Florida if you want to know what happens when you reduce restrictions before vaccinating. The CCSA has set the standard at 70% vaccinations. Stick to the plan and keep the shots coming. -
CCSA warns COVID infections may surge in October if guard lowered
cjinchiangrai replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
A road death today does not create ten more next week. Covid does. I agree with CCSA, keep things tight for a few more months to bring the vaccination numbers up. -
vaccine information for thai nationality enquiry
cjinchiangrai replied to siptsipt's topic in Chiang Mai
Chiang Rai is just getting started with the over 60s and high risk people. They are steadily working though. The Sinovac then Astra Zenica combination is on offer. Not qualified for international travel but it will keep you put of the hospital. Chiang Mai has some Pfizer for foreigners, not sure about the restrictions. It is not commercially available yet so availability and choices are limited. -
Poll -- Is the novel dead (to you)?
cjinchiangrai replied to Jingthing's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I read novels all the time but only have one book, my Kindle. I am on the unlimited program and have not made a dent in the reading list. Only two million books to go.- 132 replies

Thai Elite ?s for American's
cjinchiangrai replied to texxxan1's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
An isolated but not singular incident. The idiot did not get an APEC card, so she can stand in line. I have little sympathy for the ignorant. On the other hand, there are plenty of ignorant falangs from everywhere. The american tourists are hardly worse than drunken British footballers or arrogant Russian bullies. Best not to throw stones. -
That should work. There are rumors that some IOs have asked for bank statements for 90 days but that would be unusual. If you have the money, the best plan is to deposit 800k and forget that it is there. Extending next year could be an issue. Make sure to cancel your visa on the way out. That will allow you to apply for a new visa. Another solution would be to buy an elite. You would not have to leave for that.

Thai Elite ?s for American's
cjinchiangrai replied to texxxan1's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You would want to apply for an elite before entering due to the long processing time you might face. An elite could give you permission to stay in Thailand for up to twenty years. Which country would you like a fiance visa for? The US? It is not a Thai visa type. No idea if you can transfer an American application. That is a question for your local US consulate. -
Prepare for a spike, public health expert says, but don’t panic

The available tech is way better too. Salk would have killed for a DNA sequencer. -
Prepare for a spike, public health expert says, but don’t panic
cjinchiangrai replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This is insane. Keep the restrictions for another month or two to get the vaccinations up. There are way too many people unvaccinated. It is going to explode. -
No need to be vaccinated to use restaurants: Bangkok governor
cjinchiangrai replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
This is reckless and stupid. We are going to have an explosion of new cases if they lift the controls before getting the vaccination rates up.
