thai pass absolute nightmare
Resident Alien replied to highlander403's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Trust this is good observation. All pass requests might have different results, timewise. My remark to you was not personal, but a general one. I do not have any experience with the pass. Residing in Thailand few years already and no plans to leave. -

Most people will say they did everything correctly and think it is not their input that delayed the issue of the pass. -

You are not in Belgium anymore. You should know they do things differently here. -

Just deal with it. Make the extra copy, fill in the extra form. You will be out of the office within the hour, with your extension. Happy days. -

Do not believe this at all. You say that a Thai citizen does not speak his/her own language. 555 Maybe your Thai is not as good as you think. And you should be aware they speak a dialect here in the Northeast. -

With this attitude, which they will recognize, they can make your extension more difficult than necessary. -

Resident Alien replied to PaulDee's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
1000k is one million. A bit much I would say. You could withdraw or deposit 100 thb if you want, more than enough. -

Richard Barrow receives the British Empire Medal (BEM)
Resident Alien replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This is not how it works on this forum. People have different opinions, and these will not always be received as nice comments. "if they actually do think" , " Bunch of miseries." You think this is nice to say about your fellow forum members? I appreciate your contribution to this topic. -
Richard Barrow receives the British Empire Medal (BEM)
Resident Alien replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
He does have nice info from time to time on his twitter account. I have been following him on twitter since the great flood of Bangkok. But the yearly clickbait bs, about his extension of stay going to be denied, is very annoying. In the end of course he always gets his extension, the same as most people with the correct paperwork and finance. Congratulations to him with the BEM. -

No Booster For Farangs With 2 Pfizer
Resident Alien replied to mercman24's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
@DrJack54 @StayinThailand2much Trust you read the lastest news. March 10, 2022: "Bookings no longer needed for jabs at Bang Sue. The Central Vaccination Centre (CVC) at Bang Sue Grand Station is offering vaccine shots regardless of which dose it is for both Thais and foreign nationals on a walk-in basis. The CVC is ramping up vaccinations in the build-up to the Songkran festival in the middle of next month. For easier access to the vaccine, inoculations at Bang Sue Grand Station, the country's biggest vaccination centre, will be available for walk-ins. The service is open to both Thais and foreign nationals and people can choose what vaccine they want, regardless of what dose they require. Shots will be offered from 9am-4pm daily until the Songkran festival from April 13-15. The station will be closed on Chakri Memorial Day on April 6 and during the Songkran festival. It will reopen on April 18." -
No Booster For Farangs With 2 Pfizer
Resident Alien replied to mercman24's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
If you received: Pfizer-BioNTech. When to get a booster: At least 5 months after completing your primary COVID-19 vaccination series. Booster: Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna (mRNA COVID-19 vaccines) are preferred in most situations. I know some people who ordered and paid for Moderna and are still waiting for their shot. Suggest try to make an appointment via mobile provider or walk-in at the Bang Sue CVC and find out. -

No Booster For Farangs With 2 Pfizer
Resident Alien replied to mercman24's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
Yes you could just walk in. Or get an appointment via mobile providers (True, AIS). You could get halve dose Pfizer or full dose Pfizer booster. Just see signs at the entrance. Think halve dose at door 2 and full dose at door 3. At the time also Moderna was available, but think they do mostly Pfizer now. Just confirm when you walk in. Just a caution, I was there few weeks back and things might have changed slightly since then. -

I was at Bangsue few weeks ago with somebody who received 1st and 2nd dose somewhere else. Walk-in was possible. Not busy at all. Waiting time about 5 seconds at door 3. -
