Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR) - Symptom Relief
ThaIrish Sean replied to tomster's topic in Health and Medicine
Sorry for the delay, the honey and hot water I just sip and it soothes my throat no end. Because there's no medicine in it you can drink as much as you like. -
Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR) - Symptom Relief

I'm on omeprazole for the acid reflux. Hot water honey and lemon for the sore throat, works for me -
A friend of mine did have his helmet checked by a motorcycle copper, apparently after 300 baht exchange hands the helmet was legal ???? I brought a foreign lid into Thailand and I've never been "fined" for it. If you have a rare and unusual helmet that is not sold in Thailand then I guess you're asking for trouble.

Are imported lids legal? I understood it has to have the Thai standard sticker to be legal?

I buy high-end watches from watches by Ladda in Bangkok. I know they purchased as well so that may be an option. https://www.facebook.com/groups/watchbyladda/?ref=share

Tyres on my Mercedes E-Class saloon last 20,000 miles (32k) on the powered rear axle and 50,000 miles (80k) on the front. Nearly all motorway mileage, so should last longer than town work. Who doesn't drive that distance in 5 years?

I have never heard this before, a blowout on the front is worse than having a blowout on the rear.

I run a fleet of vehicles and would argue with the tyre installers about putting the new tyres on the non-powered axle. And when the tyres on the powered axle ran out (usually two and a half times quicker) I would get them to rotate the tyres on purchasing new ones. It worked on our vehicles and we used to clock up to 700,000 kilometres before we got rid of the car. Occasional uneven wear, has various names, saw toothing, stepping, toe and heel, which is more down to the geometry of the car rather than the tyres.

transporting a dog in a car
ThaIrish Sean replied to 1FinickyOne's topic in Plants, Pets & Vets in Thailand
At that age I don't think I would try any drugs to put her to sleep, she might not wake up. Try giving her treats near the car and build up her confidence. You can get her into the car and give her treats so that she thinks of it as a nice place to be. My dog hated the car at first he was sick and pooed, but after a while he would jump into the car happily and travel many hours with us. -
Temporary red car license plate restrictions.
ThaIrish Sean replied to bkkdriller's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Potentially, riding on red plates out of state will give the BIB and excuse to prosecute you instead of the motorcycle rider...... Even though we all agree he would be in the wrong. Farang are usually in the wrong, even when we are not..... Just like being married. -

Where would you put your earnings?
ThaIrish Sean replied to Neeranam's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
In the UK I put it in bricks and mortar. Only residential lets. Had industrial before but got out of it and retail is a joke. Averaging a 10% year on year return (capital gains appreciation) plus profit on rental..
