Thailand Listed No. 4 Among Most Affordable Destinations
WHansen replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Stay away from the high tourist destinations and it is very cheap to live here. For 6 months a year i work from hotels in the UK/Europe and what i get for £25/30 a night in Thailand would cost £100-150 a night in the UK. A lovely Thai meal and a pint will be less than £5 here, at least £15 in the UK. My home in Thailand including all bills £2,300 year, £9,000 in the UK. For me, it's very cheap in Thailand. Now, if only i could find a cheap place to play golf ???? -

A very bizzare post there, showing a deep hatred for normally very loving animals. There is a massive difference between a well loved and cared for pet dog and a soi dog that is on its way to becoming feral -

I would be very surprised if his name is not on a hit list somewhere. At the very least i should imagine his affairs are being scrutinised in minute detail looking for some way to shut him up. My respect to you sir. -

Elephants are very intelligent and don't forget. Some time in the future this mistreated beast will flip and stomp a mahout flat and everyone will be shocked. Those that go to see Elephant and Tiger shows in Thailand help to keep these cruel practices going, shame on those people. -

Collected the 2023 Xmax 300 Tech Max yesterday. I find the scooter very nice to ride and the harsh rear suspension that has been reported elsewhere is not a problem for me. I set the springs on the softest setting. I do not have a riding background, so those that have, may say it is on the firm side. One thing i will say though, is the Garmin streetcross navigation app is... nothing short of useless. I am in Cha am and the damn thing couldn't even find the Honda or Yamaha dealerships which are only 3ks from me. Couldn't find Immigration at Phetchaburi etc etc. So if any readers are interested in the new Xmax Tech Max with the navigation screen, i would advise you to save your money and get the cheaper model and use google maps on your phone which i will be doing.

??? Expect the unexpected everytime you jump on a bike and there are no problems. Always pass a parked car with enough room for the door to suddenly open, expect the vehicle that's approaching a junction not to stop for you, don't expect a mirror, signal, maneuver etc etc. The foreigners that get injured most of the time get complacent, think that the Thai roads are safe like their home countries, or have been drinking. -
