Thailand’s food delivery drivers feel pinch as Grab, Line rack up losses
WHansen replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Personally i can't feel sorry for them when my girlfriend only earns 300 Baht for a ten hour day with short breaks. Sounds like easy money for riding a motorbike between a food outlet and a customers home to me. -
Tourism safety concerns: Thai Government urged to reassure China

Why is no one from TAT suing the film maker for tarnishing Thailands whiter than white image -
A lot of people will be happy to hear of the possibility of a 90 day visa and will be hoping it happens, but for Thailand to throw away a known revenue of a 60 day tourist visa fee plus the 30 day extension fee in the hope of short term tourists staying longer and thus spending more money, is not going to happen in my opinion.

Thailand shakes up golden visa scheme, hikes prices by up to 500 per cent
WHansen replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
In typical Thai fashion, if expected revenue comes up short, increase prices to make up for losses. How about lowering prices to increase sales or is that beyond logical thinking.- 210 replies

Long holiday sees spike in road accidents, authorities urge caution
WHansen replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Heartbreaking to see these statistics time and time again. It's not just the deaths, it's all the affected family and friends of the victims. Come on Thailand, surely it is time to address this. Proper training, real punishment for drink driving, dangerous driving and a police force that gives a damn about the laws. -

Pheu Thai will try to get its candidate selected as PM next Thursday
WHansen replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Pheu Thai will do whatever it takes to get into power, double crossing and back stabbing included. Many posters have commented that dropping MFP would be suicide and they would be finished in the next election. Like they care... They will have four years to make a lifetime of wealth for themselves and their families, they won't care what happens after that. $$$$ is number one.- 25 replies

Correct. Make enough waves on the issue and outside observers start to realise and hopefully report on the depth of corruption in the politics of Thailand
