  1. Hey Trumpers! When is Trump going to turn the polls around?
  2. After Trump loses in November, you are going to have Trump withdrawal symptoms. On the upside, if someone asks you whether Trump really weighs 215 lbs, as he claims, you will be able to answer. Right now, you are programmed to ignore the question.
  3. So, where are you on windmills?
  4. Alex Jones claimed that nobody died at Sandy Hook. Do you believe him?
  5. Trump is a spent force. I suspect that somebody new will emerge for the Republicans after Trump loses in November. Trump is not just going to lose, he is going to make Mike Johnson the former Speaker of the House. Right now, my feeling is that the Senate will be 50/50 after the election. The Dems will lose West Virginia and may lose Montana. I don't know where they will pick up a seat, maybe Ted Cruz or Rick Scott lose.
  6. I don't know why you Trumpers think you can lie your way to victory. Your claim that Trump had nothing to do with Project 2025 is based on what? That he didn't personally write it?
  7. Do you really want the list of Fascist ideas in Trump's manifesto?
  8. As more polls are published, Kamala Harris will generate a bigger lead. Trump is a failed candidate, a tired old man who can't keep up.
  9. Do you support Project 2025? If you can't answer, I'll understand.
  10. Bottom line: Less than 4 million baht in a savings account results in less than 20K interest per annum, thus no need to get a Thai tax id or file a tax return. Note that most ex-pats have to deal with the minimum of 800,000 baht in a bank account, thus bank account interest is probably not going to be a big factor in this new tax snafu.
  11. I'm not crazy about tariffs. I think the EV tariff is a mistake.
  12. I suspect many people have Thai bank accounts at close to zero interest.
  13. How much money has to be stashed in a Thai bank account to generate 20K baht in interest?
  14. The Thai government. “Resident” means any person residing in Thailand for a period or periods aggregating more than 180 days in any tax (calendar) year. A resident of Thailand is liable to pay tax on income from sources in Thailand as well as on the portion of income from foreign sources that is brought into Thailand.
  15. The DTA will give *some* protection from double taxation. Your home country tax payment serves as a credit towards your Thai tax. However, if your home country tax rate is lower than the Thai rate, you may have to pay the difference to Thailand.
  16. Rental income from property in the US is not taxable in Thailand if you are a US citizen and the money is not remitted to Thailand.
  17. I believe you just invented a fantastic new capability of the Thai government.
  18. How much money is required in a savings account to accumulate enough interest for withholding to be used? Asking for a friend. Are we talking millions of baht?
  19. You need to understand what a DTA is.
  20. And easy for the Thai police to enforce the rules for wearing a motorcycle helmet, too.
  21. This is a good point. If the Digital Wallet can disappear, so can the new tax regulations.
  22. Any ex-pat residing in Thailand for more than 180 days in a calendar year is a tax resident.
  23. Not too many people that stay for only 3 months have a Thai bank account.
  24. Once you file a tax return, you are in the clutches of the RD, and it won't be so easy to escape from the tax system. I am bailing from Thailand for all but 179 days of the year.
  25. This is kind of true. Trump had a small pilot program to cap insulin for a small group. Biden expanded it to everyone on Medicare Part D. Do you think the $35 cap on insulin is a good idea?
