    For a New Zealander, you seem to have a great interest, but little insight into the US border situation. Here's the key point: the border is a tiny issue that simply doesn't impact most Americans. The Republicans run on it, because they don't have anything else, and have a deeply flawed presidential candidate.

    I'll type slowly so you can understand. The big problem now is that Border Patrol has not been given the resources to secure the border adequately. They are doing the best they can, and are catching more illegals than under Trump. But, because of the booming economy, more try to enter the US, and the Border Patrol can't keep up. The Republicans refuse to do anything about it.

Your response was that the absolute numbers were small, it was just a case of a small number of events getting widespread distribution in the news. And now you are going with a small number of crimes by illegals, as if these are common. Illegals are less likely to commit crimes than US citizens.

    It looks like the guilty verdict has caused @Yellowtail to abandon ship. I guess we aren't going to see any "what were the charges?" posts for a while. So, the guilty verdict clearly had an impact here.

    Donald Trump will be sentenced on July 11, at the request of his attorneys. Because he demeaned and attacked the judge, and shows no remorse, he is liable to be sent to jail. Stupid.
