  2. https://www.google.com/amp/s/time.com/5799964/coronavirus-face-mask-asia-us/%3famp=true But even before the coronavirus outbreak, masks were a common sight across East Asia—worn for a variety of reasons. It’s common for people who are ill and want to protect the people around them to wear masks. Others wear masks during cold and flu season to protect themselves. In Japan, people wear masks for non-medical reasons ranging from wanting to hide a swollen lip or a red nose during allergy season, to keeping warm during the winter, says Mitsutoshi Horii, a sociology professor at Japan’s Shumei University, who works in the United Kingdom. Masks in Japan come in cloth and printed variations, and can also be worn for style. They can also be seen on the streets of Hong Kong.
  3. I've never been infected, and an antibody test would pick up antibodies generated via vaccination.
  4. It was common prior to Covid for Asians to wear face masks.
  5. i had a 55 year old lady proposition me over Facebook. She claimed she had been alone for 17 years. So, I visited her in Khon Kaen. Somehow, she could speak passable English. Nothing came of our one night, I went home, she was sulky afterwards. Today, she posted a photo of her Farang boyfriend on Facebook. Maybe she hasn't been alone for 17 years.
  6. You can post to the "Famous Customer Lies" topic.
  7. Morality of the business is not this topic, which is about Famous Bar Girl Lies.
  8. did you ever hear of that happening? There's a very good reason it's a rare thing.
  9. In the latter case, there are no babies.
  10. Nope. I lived in Mexico previously, where light skinned, blue eyed individuals typically earn double the average salary. Despite this, you don't see Mexican ladies churning out "white" babies. Having said that, I dated one Mexican lady who was intent on making a baby with me. Thailand seems different in this regard.
  11. Duhh... Did you stop to think that as the percent of vaccinated increases, the number of dead vaccinated people will also increase, even if the vaccine is mostly effective. What would these numbers be if 100% of the population were vaccinated?
  12. Remember that people who die from Covid don't post, so personal anecdotes are misleading.
  13. You may not remember the dozens of posts here a couple years back when people claimed they had the original Covid in 2020, and that it was a nothingburger. Not very useful posts, since the original Covid was a killer, but these people were trying to minimize it.
  14. I am specifically referring to babies that are 50/50 Farang/Thai. I don't know how common it is for Thai ladies to produce Farang babies in the village. I knew one lady who came to Pattaya for this specific purpose, and now has a 20 year stipend. It seems much more common for a lady to have a baby with her Thai tilac, the Thai man to leave, and then a Farang to appear as the step father. And sometimes a married couple (Thai lady and Farang) will produce a 100% Thai baby. Oops. But, my impression is that there are lots of Thais who look like Farangs, at least partially. Or maybe I've been in Thailand too long.
  15. There are millions of people who don't take any precautions against Covid. No vaccinations, they get Covid and die. So they can't post here. There were loads of Covid Deniers who were seriously infected and who regretted their decision publicly. Before they succumbed to Covid: https://www.reddit.com/r/HermanCainAward/
  16. I have 8 vaccinations, including a bivalent Omicron booster. I have spent the night with ladies infected with Covid, vaccination is clearly effective for me.
  17. The above statement is unfounded. Vaccines developed for Delta had some efficacy against Omicron.
  18. It means you have a lesser chance of contracting the disease, a lesser chance of dying from Covid, and a lesser chance of transmitting the virus if you are infected. Vaccination is a good thing. The pro-virus crowd may disagree.
  19. Bad strategy. At any moment, Covid could evolve into something really nasty. Being unprepared could be fatal.
  20. I guess you are the expert on Immunology. But, those poor saps who went to University and then went on to work in Immunology for decades claim that keeping up on booster shops is the best way to avoid contracting Covid. Hard to know who to listen to.
  21. The 50% vaccinated mostly were vaccinated a long time ago.

  23. F-16 Block 70 is more than what Thailand requires. Hopefully, Thailand will not respond by buying Chinese garbage.
