If you think that this is a tiny infraction, no wonder Thais want farangs to go back to their own countries. -

From Chatgpt: Yes, in Thailand, the Ministry of the Interior oversees immigration matters. The Department of Immigration, which operates under the Ministry of Interior, is responsible for regulating the entry, stay, and exit of foreigners in Thailand. This department manages visa issuance, work permits, residence permits, and other immigration-related services. Additionally, the Royal Thai Police, under the Ministry of Interior, also plays a significant role in enforcing immigration laws and policies. This seems to jive with everything I read so far. So Anutin >>>>>> governors and immigration departments So uh, deputy prime ministers in Thailand have a bit of power.

In Thailand, provincial governors are not elected; they are appointed by the central government, specifically by the Ministry of Interior. The Minister of Interior is the head of the ministry. He is appointed by the King of Thailand on the recommendation of the prime minister. Since 1 September 2023, the head of the ministry has been Anutin Charnvirakul. So the Phuket Governor serves at Anutin's pleasure.

So much spotlight on this case. I'm surprised David's elephant sanctuary is still operating. -

Hmm, I got recommended physical therapy first before trying any injections. My physical therapist said it would be very unlikely to get frozen shoulder a second time. Nuts. There are a lot of exercises listed on Youtube for frozen shoulder. It is something to try in the meantime. My pain has lessened but the limited range of motion is still there for me. https://youtu.be/DzSwJHdP8ek?si=z1XR-6tbeyuUrNCs

Smokin’ scuffle: Foreigner’s taxi tantrum goes viral in Phuket
zakalwe replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
What is insane is giving benefit of the doubt to the farang mounting the taxi driver in a video. I think that farangs that do this are next to be videoed doing something questionable. They are also the ones who say I did nothing wrong because they don't know the difference between right and wrong. Per Khaosodenglish: The investigating officer then questioned Mr. Gernot. He admitted his wrongdoing and agreed to reimburse Mr. Wutthiporn and Mr. Thanongsak. The police then stated that they will file a complaint in court on April 4 for assault and injury to a cab driver under Section 291, which carries a punishment of one month in prison and a fine of no more than 10,000 baht. Mr. Thanongsak stated that he was fine after Mr. Gernot provided compensation for the damages. He spoke with Mr. Gernot, who appeared to understand the situation. He believed Mr. Gernot had done something improper while drunk. But when he was sober, he smiled and snapped photos as if nothing had occurred. -
