    To describe this heinous, murderous crime or any similar event as ‘a tragedy’ is probably not the correct terminology and to hold a commemorative service is effectively giving in to the perpetrators of these sort of crimes especially as the roots of these crimes have not been properly addressed even after twenty years - in fact we are in an even more dangerous situation and our towns and cities have been changed out of recognition as a result

    Seems that isn’t strictly the case - bigamy laws only apply to certain types of state approved weddings. The UK recognises some types of ‘cultural matrimonies’ such as a Muslim being allowed under the laws of an Islamic state to have up to four wives. If a Muslim has four wives under Islamic law they are not considered bigamists, and in the UK, can claim benefits for multiple wives and children

    Rather a not odd decision - Syrian asylum seekers (and maybe many Iranian, Iraqi, etc) were fleeing the Assad regime which has been totally toppled so they can all safely be returned to Syria to rejoin their families and help to rebuild their nation. The Iranian, Iraqi and others that claimed to be Syrians and that the Home Office weren’t smart enough to determine their nationhood can also join in to make Syria great again…
