  1. I think what some (me, for sure) think of is how to go about it - do you ask immigration? Likely they have no idea, or will cause some confusion and mess with visa issues. Ask the RD? Again no assurance there will be a clear answer, and bang you're in their sights. Hire an accountant? They probably don't know much more now, and you just end up paying for nothing (plus possibly the second issue on top). Looking up answers on the net - yeah...well. If one has been doing this (RD reports etc.) for some time now, that's a different situation. For those of us who haven't (for whatever reason), and it's first time dealing with this here - confusing and worrisome. Since there's not a whole lot of clarity on the process, details and how it will be enforced etc. - how much you get worked up over it is a choice.
  2. Live and learn. Thought it was more a Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia thing. Thanks.
  3. - He's a stalker. - And what does that mean? - You see, being a stalker is some sort of calling. ("Stalker", Tarkovsky, 1979).
  4. I wasn't asking or commenting on your take regarding this. You've posted pretty much the same several times by now, your position is clear. My comment was about another post you made touching on a related issue. You chose deflection and mild personal retort - up to you.
  5. That is not true. I have replied to posts you've made here and on other topics. Usually, once your initial comments are questioned or debunked you offer the sort of 'quality' replies as you do now. That's a good indication you either have no answer or out of your depth.
  6. On a roll how? Deflecting much? Do I always have to address each and every post? Some posters I just don't bother much responding to. Other times I'm lazy and put an emoji instead. My view is that if there's enough footage, pics and reports of protests showing a sizeable element of people doing something 'bad', it's enough to cast a shadow over the event. That's not about discrediting everyone out there, or even all of the 'official' message of the protest - but it cannot be ignored. It's a different story when dealing with obvious smaller groups within a protest - can't control everyone. IMO, many of the protests (not just the UK) related to this, do display massive messages of hatred, bigotry, racism and violence. You may disagree, of course. You brought up the issue - if you don't want to pursue it, that's your right.
  7. You seem to be obsessed with emojis. Less so with actually addressing what others post.
  8. Immigration sometimes got trouble figuring their own requirements regarding money in the bank (or income). Can't see them able to handle more complex matters.
  9. I didn't want to say, I said it. You're just trying to deflect and derail the topic with you look-over-there nonsense comments, nothing new. Can't actually address questions raised or own up what you post. I'm not demanding the USA send troops anywhere. You pretend you are. I may demand China not send soldiers anywhere, though - something which you try to dodge around. I do not agree with your nonsense, don't twist my words.
  10. I think you can, temporarily at least. But I don't know about UK law - hence the question. It was more in the spirit of understanding whether they were indeed breaking the law and police not doing anything about it. My guess looking at the pics of the crowd is that (a) less hardcore and (b) out of their element - so not much trouble on offer.
  11. He's just a bit down because the rabbit put him on 'ignore'.
  12. Do they have such access? I recently had some dealings with the amphur police and one of the RTP's SB-like branches. Both kept pestering for details immigration had for years. It was like they had the forms, but not the information, and no clear idea what some of the information meant. It was news to the amphur police that foreigners had to do the 90-days reports thing. A couple of days ago they managed to bring immigration reps. along so things went smoothly. If working relations between immigration and RD are the same - guess 'chaos' is the word to look for.
  13. Replying to your posts (which are public) is not stalking, even if you put someone on 'ignore'. Say you posted something totally wrong on this here public forum, for all to see - how does pointing that out 'stalking'?
  14. And (for me) the best tune of that evening, matches the original. Pity about her losing her singing voice.
  15. One side provide detailed, verified casualty figures, amending them even when a propaganda angle would be not to. The other side lumps all casualties together, not admitting any of its own men included.
  16. Was a Billy Preston tune above, here he is injecting some life into the rather boring Concert for George:
  17. Here's a list of some of the largest marches etc. in the UK: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_protests_in_the_United_Kingdom Organizers estimates vary greatly from police estimates. Organizers have a vested interest in inflating the numbers. 500k got a good ring to it, I'll admit. Catchy. Interesting what people choose to march for.
  18. @thaibeachlovers Easy to say for someone sitting in front of a screen thousands of miles away. Since Gazans seem to be using the opportunity to evacuate, maybe they feel differently about things.
