  1. I think that if they wanted to contact Hamas and have a quiet word, it wouldn't be too hard. And again, you tend to present things as if there are no choices - when it's obvious that there are, and obvious the easier (if not necessarily more effective) path is chosen. Tough times call for tough decisions, which may indeed carry a price. That's how it works. There were various ideas floated (and previously linked) regarding Hamas releasing hostages and evacuating the Gaza Strip (in the same way the PLO situation in Beirut). I don't know how realistic or acceptable that is to parties, but giving it as an example to address your question. Seems like your basic notion is that any expectations from the Palestinians, Arab countries, or Hamas should be minimal. Sounds like excuses and free passes to me.
  2. We don't know for sure how old our dog is - we hope 8-9, vet thinks maybe 10. She's medium sized, weighs 20-25 kg, spayed (weight gain after that), and not super active (partly fault of owner). Her dog food of choice is the SmartHeart brand (liver/chicken, thank you very much), sometimes the Pedigree brand canned meat too. Tried other stuff, not interested much. We also give her, quite often, pork leg bones (boiled, eats mostly knuckle and meat, gnaws and plays with the bone). Seems like maybe getting harder for her to handle (though was perfectly able to maul neighbor's dog recently, kill rats and so on). Noticeably slowing down in recent months - less alert, sleeps more, weight gain, and tires quicker than before. Looking for some advice/input regarding diet change: - saw packs of food for older dogs from same brand, but no idea if there's any significant difference. - what meat would be a good substitute when wishing to give her something extra, reward or spoil her? Will probably take her to the vet for a check up in a week or two, he's usually a sensible guy and loves our dog (was caring for her before she came to stay with us).
  3. Some humanitarian support, yes - and more to come. Refugees, obviously not.
  4. This means read the topic and stop trolling.
  5. Yes. And the question was whether they are also counted as casualties. This is not clearly answered by the quote above. Regardless, even the 2300 figure comes from Hamas, so suspect as well.
  6. You can try and twist things as much as you like, not impressed. You made a claim, it was clearly untrue, so you move the goal posts and change the argument. I have no idea - Hamas doesn't release clear details on casualties, at least not verifiable ones.
  7. Funny how them worried Arab nations aren't very busy beseeching (or applying pressure) on Hamas to ask for a ceasefire, release the hostages or anything else.
  8. I think that if the protest was pro-Israeli, @billd766 would have posted even longer rants, explaining how it's utterly evil and wrong to have it on this day.
  9. Explained numerous times on this topic and others. No need to rehash it for you again.
  10. Yes, and? What force does this carry? Anything that makes it anything resembling government policy? Or even a very popular position?
  11. Yet another dishonest post. Yet another straw man argument. As for them tunnels, don't see them used for defending the Gazans much.
  12. Let's not completely ignore that you try this deflection every X posts. Takes two to tango, Palestinians weren't very proactive, constructive and so on. Still aren't.
  13. Oh, it's 'save the kids' again. Go post on the Hamas website, ask them to let them in the tunnels.
  14. Israel declared war on Hamas, not on all the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Not all Hamas 'combatants' crossed over. Plenty handled the rocket launchers, mortars and so on. A whole mob of non-Hamas Gazans crossed over and partook in the looting, killing and destruction. Crowds in Gaza attacked and molested Israelis brought in over the border. All of your pseudo-legal mumbo jumbo has no bearing on anything, and very little credibility, if that.
  15. How was the list verified? Who did the verification? How many Hamas men were included in it?
  16. The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza is controlled by Hamas.
  17. Isn't it a pity Hamas doesn't watch CNN?
  18. Only posters who put most of the participants on 'ignore' aren't aware this was widely referenced by now.
  19. As far as I'm aware, there wasn't a single kibbutz among the settlements evacuated by Israel. Most settlements were populated by people with similar demographics to the settlers in the West Bank (maybe somewhat less extreme, back then). Rumors claimed by you are of no value, not without some semblance of support.
  20. Killed, maybe. Murdered, no. That difference.
  21. Ok. How many people died in Hiroshima? How many people died in the Gaza Strip?
  22. You sure that these are not already included in Hamas casualty figures?
  23. It would also require a unified Palestinian government, supported by the Palestinians and able to make the relevant decisions. As usual with your posts, the Palestinians seem to be absent....
  24. Israel and the IDF release exact information on Israelis killed. Names, pictures, ages, and whether they were soldiers. The information is readily available, and easy to verify. As for Hamas - they simply do not release information about how many of their men died, at least not during the fighting. The also do as much as they can to avoid giving casualty figures by age brackets (one may assume that 18-40 would qualify as potentially relevant Hamas men). They do release such figures regarding children and women, for propaganda reasons. Also, it is not clear at this point if the casualty lists offered by Hamas include all of the Hamas men killed during and right after the 7/10 attack (estimated on offer are at around 1500-2000), and casualties caused by their own actions (such as the hospital blast, in which they claimed 500 lost their lives).
