Which the begs my previous question, why would they ask for work cancellation letter if permission to stay in passport appears to be "valid"?

Slight correction. He'd be leaving on a permission to stay extension stamp. Now I do not have my passport on hand so cannot check mine but does the extension mention the reason why it was granted...... Eg: working ?

Yes I did ask if I needed a follow up, Doc booked me for a visit with the specialist. When I arrived at reception that evening of the appointment they refused treatment as I did not have a recent negative PCR on record.
