  1. After viewing the vidio in post 10 it does not look like the interior of the house has very much panache and style for an alleged world famous musician...same could be said for the exterior...all done in the El Cheapo style and very untidy.....most musicians/artistes have a flair for making a silk purse out of a sows ear...think there is more to this than what has so far been divulged/reported...

  2. 'up to 6%' WHAT? i am reading that correct, aren't I? do you think they could publish where the other 94% is, it would be interesting reading. rice 45% rubber45% noodle soup 4%.......?

Google it yourself, or check Wiki. Rice was 40% if i remember correctly. clothing gems, all kinds of stuff. It's humoress how many farangs think they are so important to keeping Thailand alive. 6% isn't chunk change, but it's not the lodestar, either.

Just Google Erath and look at all the little blue Panorama pictures and the clustered areas they are. Then look at the vast areas where no tourist Posted a picture.

There are vast areas of Thailand and even parts of Bkk that seldom see farangs.

It never fails to amaze me when I see posters here with so much ignorance of what Thailand does produce and export and how an economy works...remeber Wiki is your friend

  3. Jutaporn has done the Dems and their allies a massive favour; claims such as the govt burned down Central World and the blackshirts had nothing to do with the reds are risable, and will be seen as such by most Thais. I am not Sutheps biggest fan but this was a pretty good performance and he showed up Jutaporn for what he is,an ignorant bully. PT are going to be decimated at the next election after this farce, and they probably now realize this. Newins group will make big inroads into their position in large parts of Isarn and they will be reduced to their heartland areas of KK and CM. I would guess you will see some split in the party with those who have always wanted to maintain some distance from the extremists emerging more as a faction and maybe spliting away, joining Newins group?Meanwhile the Dems standing has been enhanced by this and they should be able to ,at least, consolidate their position outside Isarn and also make a few gains here and there, enough to ensure they are the largest party in the house. Abhisit maybe tempted to call a November election after all!

The sentiments are nice - but Jatuporn didn't speak yesterday - he is going to talk today apparently. :)

Jatuporn spoke late last night...it was more like huffing and puffing

How come the Pheua Thai MPs no longer wear red ties...awnsers on the back of a used wet bus ticket please

  4. If Abhisit would just return to his country of birth and stay there, Thailand could go forward with its long, long reconciliation phase. With the waters polluted with the hi-so hate-speech of Abhisit, Kasit and others, nothing good can happen.

Who do u think should be Prime Minister ??

Nattakorn Devakula. Will take a couple more years though.

Still, you heard it here first.

    472296394_52025c3ae0.jpg

That figures....he has the same mentality as your avatar....stil he would be better than Chalerm or Chavalit

  6. Well we all know where most lawyers belong.

reminds me of that old joke:

what do you call 10 dead lawyers at the bottom of the sea? a good start!

Lawyers are often called solicitors.....just knock the "ors" off the end of the word and that is their true proffesion....then again some of us do know the odd good hooker

  7. BANGKOK: -- Thaksin Shinawatra and his lawyer Robert Amsterdam were a busy couple this week. Their barrage of media interviews unveiled their lines of defence in the face of an arrest warrant approved by the Thai Criminal Court in connection with "terrorism" charges levelled against the former prime minister by the Thai government.

Here's what they are telling the world: Government agents burnt down the CentralWorld in a well-planned and professionally executed operation to frame the protesters; Thaksin did not fund the red shirts' rally; and seized weapons were a set-up.

Telling these outrageous lies does nothing but strongly suggest guilt. :D

Taksin must think all of us in the world are stupid and he is above us all... It annoys me that he always turns things around and accuses the opossition of the exact acts that he does- it has been his way for over a decade.

Many saw this man coming a mile away and long ago- his ambition reaks of greed, corruption and arrogance towards all of us. :D

Money can buy substancial power in developing countries. The sooner people like Taksin ared done and dusted, Thailand can emerge from its corrupt and developing world status. :)

Thailand needs leadership for the 'People', not for themselves... :D

Taksin is not your man... He is for himself.

Just being a little pedantic here...can we all spell the despot's name correctly...it is Thaksin

Taksin was a great King who defeated Burma and is held in high reverance by many Thai people

  10. Absolutely right there! The Thai Baht is WAY too strong for a country like Thailand. It should be on par with that of the Phillipinnes! I predict a 50% devaluation of the Baht quite soon!

    Let's hope so !!!

The baht is being held up by huge buys from Thai Elite.

    BUT--this will not hold forever.

Another few fights in the streets and a few hudred more buildings gone, and the bahy will collapse.

80 or 100 easy if the fight goes on.

Anyone who thinks the bht will collapse or devalue knows nothing about macro economics or how to read a balance sheet.

Why would a creditor nations currency (bht) collapse against debtor nations currencies like the USD and the pound ? It has never happened in history.

U just have to read the second last page in The Economist to realise that the baht wont collapse....just work out the foriegn reserves....plus they did not have Brown or Bush running the econmy....Thai banks were not burnt in subprime or CDOs....they learnt their lesson in 1997....if u r waiting for the baht to devalue against the pound euro or dollar u r certainly in for the long haul...BTW with the oil problem in the Gulf of Mexico there will be a shortage of shrimp in USA....who is the biggest exporter of shrimp in the world.. Thailand is

  11. Perhaps this blog will get deleted by admin but this is the network of corruption attached to Thaksin. I hope it is read by all to understand the far reaching affects and how certain businesses remained untouched in Thailand when the mayhem died down. This will provide that answer. Similarly, I will never again buy fuel from PTT, have any financial dealing or support through my patronage, of any of these businesses. I have changed my phone provider today and will hope that all who read this, in our small way, will make a conscious decision to ban any future dealings with these people - for the sake of my family and our future here in Thailand. Wow......u have blown my cotton sox off....I knew he had a lot of fingers in many pies but not all of these.....like you I will avoid spending any money at any of these interests but alas I think we will be in the minority

I remember the PPT float.....what a scam/rort !!!! No one but his associates were allotted shares...I tried to buy some for my Thai family and of coarse got nil....the day it opened on the SET if memory serves me right it opened at 100% above float value...amazing when u now drive through Thailand how few other opposition gas stations there are now whereas before there were many...there are many things about this meglomaniac that a lot of the posters dont know about this common crook....remember the cow scandal...every villager was to get a cow...the cost of a cow went up 300-400% overnight...all of the phu yai baan in red country made a fortune selling the poor people cows and who are now still in debt because of it...if not in debt they have lost their land etc etc to Thaksin's...the man is a rotten despot....but I do give some credit...he had fantastic PR

BTW were the Grammy people also in his pocket...remember the attempted buyout of Bangkok Post

  12. yellow shirts had ARMED men just like the reds..

Both as bad as each other!!

Did the yellows try to BURN DOWN THE CITY? I'll wait while you get your answer from Montenegro.

so yr not denying the yellow shirts were armed and dangerous???

burn down the city?? theres a few buildings on fire and their burning tyres,,i would hardly call it burning down the city.

and what the hel_l are you going on about get my answer from montenegro??

    and dont question it!!

    got my own mind!

    Really.....

  13. Does anyone know what happened to the Yellow Shirt leaders, after they closed the airport in Dec 2008? I have not heard of any of them serving jail sentences right now (I could be wrong) if so, seems a bit unfair to me that they can close down the airport and get away scott free. Or could be something to do with the fact that their side came into government afterwards, so they escaped punishment?

It will be interesting to see what happens to the Red Shirt leaders

PLEASE do a bit of research on the topic before posting! (The same goes for Gymboy)

Back off mate....give them some time to learn ....Research has more than 3 letters in it

  14. for the hundreds of current red sympathisers inhabiting this site, those who are still here but have been re-incarnated and for those who have permanently fallen by the wayside.

especially for all of you who said that Abhisit would never have the support of the Army, Navy, Air force or the Police

    here's something just for you

:):D:D LOL yeah ok lets see that is going to happen after all this is settled down and the muderous rampage of the government is shown for what it it cold blooded MURDER unarmed civilians shot in the head unarmed medics shot unarmed journalists shot and targeted

we will see who is eating humble pie

Hope u have stocked up with plenty of sauce :D

  15. Is it any wonder why foreign journos end up getting hurt? :)

    journos.jpg

Thats how they get the pics and commentaries that all of us armchair generals can remark on :D

It is interesting how the CNN and BBCrap have started to take different attitude in the last 18 hours or so....maybe the bosses back in the studios started to take a bit of notice of the biased tripe that was being previously shown

  16. Wow...... where do u get those drugs from.....I want some of them .....PM your dealers number

Phuket. How did you know he was my dealer. By the way you got any free land for me down in Phuket.

Nothing for free in Phuket....you got to have money here boyo

that's not what my dealer told me..

Now we do know without any doubt you on drugs

  17. Good! You can't negotiate with anarchist criminals who have been shown remarkable tolerance thus far. Their criminal mob have held the Country to ransom for long enough and their concern for human life is hypocritically one sided stemming only from the desire of their leaders to get an amnesty so they can go off and spend Thaksin's millions.

Where do you get such garbage? They want democratically elected governments to be left alone to rule without the elitist army backed thugs removing them from power and then slaughtering them in the streets when they protest. It's the government who are the criminals.

The reds have nothing whatsoever to do with democracy, they were offered elections on November 14th but preferred to engage in murder, arson and theft because this was what their deity Thaksin wanted. Look at their actions not their weasel words, they deserve all they get and I hope it comes soon.

Where do you get such garbage? they were offered elections on Nov 14th on conditions. Conditions that would have been delayed and delayed, because they are too busy, they have a holiday booked, read the manual on all the excuses. The same as the pad members delay upon delay but, speed up the cases on the opposition. The election would have happened in 2555. And yes both sides are equal in everything they do and have done. Point out 1 wrong from 1 side, if you look hard enough the other side are doing the same. The generals in all parties are trained soldiers, how do they resolve conflict? Maybe if the former members of the armed services and police force were removed from politics, would it be different? Against the culture questions need to be asked.

Another question comes to mind is the court that is hearing the cases of Thaksin and the democrat party in the region of the red city and are they closed and cannot work at the moment to delay Thaksin's cases.

Wow...... where do u get those drugs from.....I want some of them .....PM your dealers number

  18. It's must be some kind of a record.

This is the only photo of Thaksin in recent weeks that has no one claiming it's been photoshopped.

Psst, did you notice that the handbag shadows are towards the left while Thaksin's shadow is having a cuppa at the sidewalk cafe?

    :)

They DO have electric lighting in shops these days.... not just a lantern or candle ......modern lighting can caste many different shadows....photoshopped or not it is what the calibre of this despot would do....now where was it he said he would be leading at the front ready to take the first bullet

BTW how come Chavalit had an urgent desire to see the sights of Kumming in China.....one would have thought it would have been more logical to go to the Expo in Shanghai....I did ask this yesterday but unfortunately had to go out so did not see a reply posted.....would really like to know the reason
