  1. Many of them went back to florida to help fix up storm damage and work as low paid labor for rich people.
  2. Corporate taxes on companies who are making increased and windfall profits from the use of technology to reduce employment costs.
  3. Do you support laws to enforce the "great care in storing my guns away from criminals and malicious individuals."?
  4. The same conservative opposition is prevalent in the UK as well. A classic example of how low income blue collar workers who are most prone to be conservative vote against their own best interests. Recent data from the Pew Research Center (2020) show that most American conservatives opposed UBI: while 72% of liberals favored it, 84% of conservatives opposed it. Such opposition, however, is not necessarily rigid because political elites can often deploy frames to sway public opinion in specific ideological directions the negative stereotypes of welfare recipients are especially strong among American conservatives. As many conservatives believe that welfare programs disproportionately benefit Black Americans, they regard welfare with fundamental disdain https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11109-022-09824-z
  5. The problem is that neither of those lists actually exist or could exist and so gun control needs to be broader.
  6. It's coming. Worldwide corporate tax agreements are already in place. Next will be the universal basic income. 45% of Americans support it, including a fifth of Republicans. Nearly eight-in-ten Republicans and Republican-leaning independents (78%) oppose the federal government providing a universal basic income of about $1,000 per person, with 62% strongly opposed. A smaller share of Democrats and Democratic leaners (66%) favor a UBI, with just a third supporting the proposal strongly. https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2020/08/19/more-americans-oppose-than-favor-the-government-providing-a-universal-basic-income-for-all-adult-citizens/
  7. Yes, my point is I'd add to that list. In Australia we have far fewer gun owners and no school shootings or mass shootings of any kind. Not since guns were made much harder to get anyway.
  8. I don't think it ,means that to anybody. Certainly only a handful of extremists advocate for a total gun ban. I would take out more of the more egregious weapons such as are already banned despite the 2nd amendment.
  9. You don't often get to do a Wyatt Earp when somebody decides to shoot you.
  10. If you just need any computer shop there is one on Pattaya Klang opposite Foodland. Not big on parts but carry a lot of peripherals and do servicing work.
  11. My problem is that the torrent of misinformation which ensues with every covid thread endangers people's lives. All because some extremist zealots want to obey their political puppeteer.
  12. Unless I'm mistaken, bitcoin just broke a high timeline trend line and a macro head and shoulders neckline with a 3 black crows candlestick pattern on the 5 minute chart and probably will form the same for the 30 min chart. It doesn't get much worse than that. It's toast for the time being I think.
  13. That's the point. The various meanings of this kitchen sink epithet has no definition. It can be applied at will as an insult for any reason or no reason.
  14. OK, but not in 2 or 3 years and promulgated by a handful of far right extremists who deliberately misused the work to insult their political opponents. The far right distortion of the word has no validity.
  15. Thanks for clearing up your misunderstanding, I was getting frustrated. From the Atlantic link which underscores my point that left wing use of the word is to complain about it's use. Going further, you should acknowledge that as with cancel culture, critical race theory, and even structural racism, the contested nature of the term imposes a preemptive barrier to productive disagreement.
  16. That's exactly what they believe because social justice is all about benefiting non white or non straight people aka minorities.
  17. There's no automatic presumption that a person who died with covid died from covid. The actual cause of death is determined by the doctor.
  18. Stop trolling. I have changed nothing. I've said all along that non MAGA people never use the word except to complain about it.
  19. I told you it's against the rules to post that link adn I told you how to find it, can't you read?
  20. Trump doesn't like it because DeSantis is using it effectively to slander the left by labeling them as "woke".
  21. I already said where I read it but you could start with the OP.
  22. Yes, I provided as much info as I could. I gave a clue to the source which should be enought to enable you to easily find it. Rules prevent me from posting the actual link.
