  1. It was just a joke. I used to smoke a lot but not for years now. When it hit the streets in Pattaya I thought I'd try the best quality I could find but it isn't up to the standard of the hydro available back home. I probably drink about 10 beers a month, that hasn't changed in years either. At 68 I'm too old for either now.
  2. I don't think he's going anywhere. "Strict licence" likely means no passport and regular reporting.
  3. What do drinkers think? Oh, that's right, they don't. ????
  4. I believe you made the best choice. It doesn't make sense anymore to buy a full sized desktop unless using a graphics card requiring high end cooling. Laptops are the worst choice unless you want to sit by the hotel pool and work or when travelling a lot. When travelling to a place where I will stay a while, I may either buy a new monitor or pay excess baggage and bring one with me. I pack a keyboard and mouse in my normal luggage. Laptops can weigh 6 to 8 Kg with a charger and airlines don't cover checked computers for damage or loss so a laptop soaks up my carry on allowance. Additionally laptops have a smaller monitor than I like to use as I work in IT.
  5. I made no opinion. I never do on matters that I am not qualified to judge. I just quote the sources I do think are the best qualified and make the most sense. Try playing the ball, not the man. That means addressing the subject matter in the links although I do understand that's anathema in the echo chamber.
  6. It seems to be the right wing playbook to salt the fields on the way out the door.
  7. I'm still using my 8086. It has paged RAM above 640 Kb though.
  8. I just completed my first hour with a personal trainer, very tiring. No heavy weights (max 2.5 Kg.), lots of stretching and mobility. I am the OP, my height is 173 cm, weight 72 Kg. Age 68. My experience was very positive.
  9. No, some of those were actual conspiracies. The rest have not been proved. As I previously said, conspiracy theories involve many people over a long period of time, such as the H Biden allegations. which will turn out to be either nothing or very little. A couple oft hose I've never heard of so I guess they live only in the echo chamber. In short, conspiracy theories are NEVER true. (don't use caps).
  10. Those conspiracy theories don't endanger people's lives? Hilarious.
  11. I'm always told that BP is fine although I know it should be closer to 120 over 70 odd. I take 150 mg so there is room to up the dosage. I'm hoping a decent exercise routine will bring that down. I do a lot of walking as it is ( I don't own a vehicle in Pattaya so as to force me to walk) but that's about it. Thanks for your much valued input.
  12. Then why is the entire world suffering the same inflation?
  13. A rule of thumb I always observe when buying computers is to never buy the bleeding edge but pick the price / performance sweet spot. Generally about a year or two old. The chances that you'll see the difference between ddr4 and ddr5 is probably quite low. If you do a lot of gaming or image rendering then go for the highest spec possible. If budget is a concern for you then I suggest that's probably not the case. Buying at the top of the market results in hanging on to the computer longer rather than trading up every so often (5 years for me). This in turn results in a negative performance effect over time. Computers evolve very rapidly.
  14. All Twitter and Bisted. Twitter CEO Elon Musk may be banning New York Times and Washington Post reporters from his $44 billion social media platform, but he's also welcoming back My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell. The Trump-loving pillow monger, who has long been a source of bogus conspiracy theories about voting machines in the 2020 election and who is being sued by Dominion Voting Systems for $1.3 billion, made a triumphant return to Twitter on Friday and he immediately engaged in the kind of rhetoric that got him banned in January of 2021, less than a month after Trump supporters violently stormed the United States Capitol building. "I'm back!!" he wrote. "Thank you Elon Musk and by the way MELT DOWN THE ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINES AND TURN THEM INTO PRISON BARS!" https://www.rawstory.com/mike-lindell-twitter-2658975345/
  15. You do no research at all and keep changing your narrative like the breeze. https://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2018/12/trump-incorrectly-links-immigration-terrorism/576358/
  16. I went to high school in the 60's and both algebra and statistics were separate units within the double math subject.
  17. Are you aware just how hard Trump has fought to delay the production of evidence and prevent his associates from testifying?
  18. Judge unseals new details of contacts among Rep. Perry, Trump-connected attorneys A federal judge revealed Friday that earlier this year she granted Justice Department investigators access to emails between three Trump-connected attorneys and Rep. Scott Perry as part of the federal investigation into election subversion efforts by the former president and others. https://www.politico.com/news/2022/12/16/trump-jan-6-perry-00074379
  19. @Sheryl I take Eliquis for a Portal Venous Thrombosis 3 years ago. One complication was varicose veins around the espohagus. I haven't had any issues since. I have signed up for a program with a personal trainer at a gym (The Brick) in Pattaya, starting today. I'm wondering whether intensive exercise or lifting weights possibly leading to bleeding muscles poses a significant risk? I am on Irbesartan since 25 years and have well controlled BP, around 135 / 84.
