  1. Definitely worse places to isolate. I'd find it interesting to be there when its so slow. I've only been there when it's overflowing with Chinese Tourists and the hotel prices high for what you get. Enjoy yourself.
  2. Unfortunately. First time. Small city/village also. 500 baht. Speeding ticket+Parking ticket=Bad day.
  3. There's always a few boring temples to see. If you can get outta there and go to Hua Hin or Bangkok. At least there's still a little life and plenty of things to do! Lots of good restaurants and premium hotels have never been so cheap!
  4. Nurses, doctors, front line staff are already over whelmed. No panic unless you need to go to a hospital.
  5. It's much more pleassnt than paying at a police station. Unfortunately the last time I did that I got a parking ticket outside the bank.
  6. Another reason to avoid Thai owned and operated hotels.
  7. Nope, its pretty bad. "The armed forces are being deployed to help hospitals in London deal with a surge in Covid patients because the Omicron variant is leaving so many staff sick and unable to work." https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/jan/07/military-deployed-at-london-hospitals-due-to-omicron-staff-shortages
  8. I'm not talking about comic books. You wouldn't know anyways.
  9. You'll need to find out if that dog has rabies or the very least find out if it has had rabies vaccines (probably not). If you can't you'll needs to start the rabies vaccination course. Rabies is common in Thailand and deadly.
  10. Time for the son and his wife to move out of there parents house. Living with a drunk or heavy drinker is a nightmare.
  11. Consider yourself lucky. Vaccinated and getting the virus supposedly gives you super immunity. "Breakthrough infections generate ‘super immunity’ to COVID-19, study suggests" https://news.ohsu.edu/2021/12/16/breakthrough-infections-generate-super-immunity-to-covid-19-study-suggests
  12. All quiet on that front. Maybe closed for the Chinese New Year. Astra Zeneca has lost a lot of it's luster. Whether true or not bad news on Social Media travels fast. Many Thais don't want it and would prefer Pfeizer or Moderna. Unfortunately the government hasn't ordered enough Pfeizer and none of Moderna.

    Phuket Show?

I thought it was free? The government paid upwards of a million baht for it.

    Phuket Show?

https://thethaiger.com/news/phuket/the-perfect-match-andrea-bocelli-and-phukets-big-public-park-huh Just a little ditty about a reporter having the same questions about the show.

    Phuket Show?

Neither have I heard anything. I'd assume it wasn't as popular nor successful as promoted. TAT and the government run newspapers would be gushing praise if it had been a success. Seems they just want to brush it under the rug and forget about it.
  16. Good advice. Everyone is looking for boosters now. Interesting about the Shoppee coupon. The Bangkok hospitals Group also has a "Shopping Mall" area. I've seen it on LINE app and their FACEBOOK page.
  17. What were you offered for your boosters if you don't mind me asking? I'm scheduled for a booster next week.
  18. No hes probably got half a brain. It's usually the guys doing the wrong thing. Nice to see it the other way around.
  19. It's private property. I wouldn't want people traipsing about. But I get your drift. Maybe throw in a bottle of water to ease the pain of the 50 baht fee.
