I wish them well and must presume they have a good deal on rent. RGP is as dead as a doornail now and the last couple of times I have passed through there big names like Svennsons had mothballed the business for lack of customers. They might tick over at weekends when Pattaya gets visitors from other provinces.

Its been pretty slow there years before the pandemic.

    Its pretty dated.

"He said they can not do swab tests on all the dead victims because they could not ask for a refund of their costs from victims who died before their arrival at the hospital."  Yet again the Thainess of money shines through in which case we will NEVER know the true amount of deaths,  but hey we get subs, tanks, and more new Wat buildings.

One Sub would be enough to vaccinate everyone in Thailand plus boosters 6 months later.

There would still be plenty left over for raises for fireman and front line doctors and nurses.

Report from a forensic doctor who carries out autopsies reveals the real covid death numbers are much higher.

On July 6, Dr. Smith Srison, Forensic Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital Mahidol University posted a message on Facebook about the situation of the Covid- 19 epidemic in Thailand, that may be more severe than the numbers released by the government. From the autopsy of the deceased in just one day, four people were found to be infected with covid.

This happens each day, they come mainly from the slum communities and die at home.

The conclusion is to say the situation is very serious. The patients and deaths seen here are definitely not real numbers. There are much more than that There are a lot of people who don't swab to check (now in Rama, if they come to swab, I see queues to sit and wait since 10 PM to check in the morning). As for the dead, there are more people. Because there are many cases that do not have a swab, some forensic doctors can't swab all of them.

I agree. Im sure they haven't included two cases in our little village in Sakon Nakhon.  The village is freaking out.

Hygiene isn't really recognized here in these Issan backwater villages unfortunately.

  4. This would be news when the procur 90 million doses.

Never enough to make a difference.  As long as there is unvaccinated people theres a place for the virus to mutate.

After the report of the leaked document about the low effectiveness of Sinovac the idiots go and buy 10.1 million more doses.

Its like those people who keep buying the overpriced 98,000 baht lightposts.

    The corruption never stops.

I only go off the property once or twice a week, usually to get things that it is difficult to explain to my wife. She doesn't speak engineer or techie.

For instance today I needed a 3/4 inch, inline water valve, metal not plastic, handle not screw valve plus 2 x 3/4 male blue plastic fitments, to replace the existing 3/4 plastic valve.  It is easier for me to go to the shop and talk to the staff to get what I need sometimes with a show and tell valve, either 1/2 inch or 1 inch as I don't have a spare 3/4 valve.

Other than that my wife is the one that goes out and AFAIK there is little or no Covid, so far in our clump of villages in rural Kamphaeng Phet.

They just reported the first COVID-19 case in our little village this evening.  Everyone is really scared.  I think that they thought it would never get to our village.  Theres a few falang resort style houses but the rest are dirty cramped homes crowded with two or three of families.  Hygiene isn't a priority here.

    Getting to close to home!

Wrong im afraid. I live in the Uk and most of our residents have had the A zen shot. Test showed it is 90+ % protection from Delta variant. So much so we are fully open from 19th JULY, don't even need Mask's.

    Your almost correct.

    90% for hospitalizations.

    Read on:

The new real-world data from Public Health England (PHE) showed that two doses of COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca had 92% efficiency against hospitalisation in Delta variant cases. ... The effectiveness was 74% and 64% against symptomatic disease by the Alpha and Delta variants, respectively.

    Still much better than Sinovac.

A bigger problem your still able to pass on the Delta virus while you're symptomatic increasing the likelihood of variants.

But what can one do when thats all thats offered unless you pay.

And IF the vaccin do arrive in October, when will you actually get your first jab?

    I would assume October.

At least these are private hospitals.  It's not like your maybe getting a Chinese vaccine in a train station packed with people.

This problem of very few vaccines being supplied could be eradicated at a stroke...........

Replace the Department of Health with TAT............imagine the number of vaccines flooding into the country then???

Yes, but it would still be all talk and no results.

Pretty sure the OP's talking about his friends that live here, not tourists.

There still mixing with people outside of there meetings.

It just takes one contact with another person.  Be it at 7/11, Big C, or a cousin to get the highly contagious and deadly Delta virus.

The tourists coming in are probably safer.  They've been vaccinated and tested.

I know were strictly limiting guests at this time.  What you due is really up to you.
