  1. 400 BB guns were siezed in Bangkok yesterday according to the Bangkok Post. I know water guns are ok.
  2. I always (if I remember) to ask for M-stamps. They'll put it on your account by punching in your cell number and you can claim for some very cheap/cheasy prizes like coolers or beach chairs when you accumalate enough points. .... I forgo the option of stamps because I always lose or misplace them.
  3. Nobody is fearful. It's normal to report on a virus that has caused so many deaths. Perhaps if it bothers you read a comic book or something else that hasn't news of the world.
  4. Seems that way. However I've got 5 accounts. The kids, mom, Yai, etc. Eventually an account gets a promotion code. I've got one account with an add blocker. Ill see if I get a warning this evening.
  5. I can't see Thailand completing high speed railway for another decade at the minimum.
  6. Same. Actually doesn't bother me to much. I'm offered 3 months of free premium YouTube every 3 or 4 months. Anyways I enjoy YouTube more than any other media available. I had Netflix but I never used it.
  7. .....Or watch YouTube on a TV.
  8. Unfortunately, many Thai's can't swim. Laughing during the tragic incident, indefensible.
  9. Madness to buy a condo in the center of Pattaya. Majority of those condos are for short term rentals to people who are visiting Pattaya to party, not to visit temples a or meditate on the beach.
  10. Computers and electronics. ..... A descent steak.
  11. As long as you tip them handsomely. Immigration is not known to be helpful.
  12. "Separately, expats are again reminded they should not ignore the separate bureaucracy of the TM30 form which confirms local address after returning to Thailand from abroad by land or sea. Expats will need to show an updated TM30 receipt (i.e. issued since the last entry to Thailand)" https://www.pattayamail.com/latestnews/news/90-days-immigration-report-now-needs-update-form-443917
  13. Personally all my encounters with "bar ladies" has been pleasant. Most problems arise when a bar patron gets stupidly drunk. 20 years in Pattaya, the only problems I've had or seen are unruly falangs being bad actors.
  14. I'll revisit buying an inverter air-con in the future. It would certainly be worth it to save on the PEA bills. What model are you using?
  15. Nope. Brand new Daikon's Inverters arent very effecient with high humidity. If it works for you great. In my experience they struggle to meet my comfort requirements during the hot and humid months. "a compressor running in short bursts cannot efficiently remove humidity from your home" https://quality-hc.com/blog/inverter-hvac/#:~:text=May Result in Higher Humidity, remove humidity from your home.
  16. Ive had a few inverters, Daikon's. During the brutal high heat and humidity months they couldn't cope. I ended putting in regular Mitsubishi Mr. Slims. Despite the higher running costs I was happy that we had cool rooms throughout the year. Of course I had high hopes of saving some money with the inverters but in my case they just couldn't handle the extreme heat and humidity.
  17. Interesting. In our area in Issan there is one nice guy that does practically every air conditioner installation for miles (kilometers). Hotels, Tesco's, residential, etc. There so cheap. 400 baht for cleaning. Mitsubishi has come out when we had a problem with one of our systems. It was under warranty so it was free. Turned out a snake had crawled into it somehow, weird. Mitsubishi Heavy or Mitsubishi have great products and service in my opinion.
  18. Sounds like you'll need the repair the thermostat. They've got videos on YouTube. It's definitely not something I'd undertake. 11 years, that's good amount of time. Luckily a repair wouldn't be to expensive living on Thailand. Here's MHI user manual data base to find the part number. https://mhiaa.com.au/knowledge-centre/user-manuals/
  19. Ultimately he'll want to control the tempature.
