Thailand and Palestine to join forces to free Thai hostages
MrJ2U replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Thailand will need to be prepared to pay millions in ransom. I couldn't imagine the Thai government doing that. -
It's almost time for us to break out the air purifiers as well. We use them at night in the bedrooms. If your going to live in South East Asia, air purifiers are a good investment.

Definitely a last resort airline to travel on. It's worth paying a little extra to fly another airline than AirAsia and the hassles that commonly occurs and the lack (non-existent) customer support support.

It isn't just a Thailand problem. It's all of South East Asia and beyond. It's particularly bad in Chiang Mai because of its geography.

Almost denied entry Hat Yai airport

What a horrible experience. I've always hated Thai immigration and border officials for there downright cr**py hostile attitude. -

You don't know what your jabbering on about. Tell that to the millions of Thais and falangs who visit Temples year around. -

Inside a temple. Outside shorts and sandals are common place. So is sitting around like these girls are doing. -

Concerns after two foreign women sunbathe in Chiang Mai temple

I agreed, like 99 % of the other Thai's reading the news of the world on Facebook. Girls are outside the temple wearing shorts on a hazy, hot, polluted typical day in Chiang Mai. Probably dozens of others doing the same. -
How “peacemaker” Thaksin is stirring up Thai politics
MrJ2U replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Stirring up what? The unelected Senate and the legacy of the corrupt Junta are shamelessly still in charge. The more things change, the more they stay the same. This couldn't be more adept a saying than anything in Thailand. -
Good thing. Definitely ridiculously high tariffs. It's not right when your cheap bottle of wine costs more than the entire dinner.

Women going to Gambia to find a much younger man
MrJ2U replied to scubascuba3's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Nothing new here. Fatties head to Africa while there male counterparts usually head to Asia. Guys get the better deal in my opinion. -

Police to get tough on drunk drivers over New Year
MrJ2U replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
7 years, I've never seen a cop in our village, let alone a tough one. Lots of drunks though. Plenty of drunk driving. Never changes. Always a few killed or maimed on motorcycles during festive period. Safer, if possible, to stay home. -
I've always found Agoda cheap for an emergency booking. I've never experienced high commission rates. Hotels.com I've experienced huge booking fees as your experiencing on Agoda. In the end it's usually better to book directly with the hotel. Using Agoda.co, Booking.com,etc as just a guide.

CC, Visa accepted. My visa from Chase uses the latest and best currency rate. Easy as can be. Flew in and just walked passed immigration after flashing the Visa, 5 minute from plane to Taxi. Great city. Totally enjoyed myself.. Thailand could definitely learn a thing or two from Cambodias e-Visa procedure. Enjoy your trip.

Thailand’s new approach to Myanmar crisis a shot in the dark
MrJ2U replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
There in lies the glaring problem with Thailand's retarded politics. Everyone, but greedy Thai politicians with financial ties to the horrific military junta, want these military dictators either arrested or hanged. Thailand's continued support for them is horrific at best. Hopefully they'll be strung up by there necks sooner than later and the military downsized and put on a short leash, just as should happen in Thailand. -
Phuket taxi driver drives away foreign woman over air conditioning dispute
MrJ2U replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
It was destroyed long ago. If your not a total flunkie your better off renting a car before arrival at the airport. For short stints on your stay rent a scooter as well for short explorations. The money saved on taxis and all the hassle taxis initiate it'll pay for itself!
