  1. He's really good. Funny with him going through Issan. He was at his wits end.
  2. Plenty of good posts.
  3. And Udon Thani is just 45 minutes drive. Udon Thani has a lot of Universities and bustling shopping district, UD Town, Great health care facilities. I think they were expecting more business from the bridge to Nong Khai. That really never materialized. While pretty with the river there's really not much to do. Most people bypass it and head to Udon Thani or Khon Kaen.
  4. Malaysian tourists, Interesting. Definitely not a wealthy country. Mostly Muslim., No drinking. Malaysian beaches are much nicer. They must be coming for the temples and Thai culture.
  5. I've been to all those cities. All of them have great qualities. Udon Thani and Khon Kaen are actually livable. Nong Khai needs a Central or Robinsons to stay relative. Seems a little run down. IMO.
  6. All paid by the taxpayers most likely.
  7. What speed are you paying for? Are you using a VPN? I've got True and they've got excellent customer service. They'll come out to my house in the middle of nowhere Nakhon and fix any problems. 3BB may do the same. Call them and tell them your problem and have them come to your house. Good idea about the router. Many companies will happily give you there older models if you don't ask for the newest and best router. Good luck!
  8. 20 amp plugs will be a problem with the 16 amp socket?
  9. I have multivitamin pill. We've all been taking them. I'm in a very poor area of Issan and unfortunately it's really hard to find descent vegetables, fruit, etc. Also it makes me feel I'm covering the bases. Perhaps even a placebo effect is good. Interesting enough a half hour of sun is 10,000 to 20,000 IU of vitamin D. The recommended daily intake is 600 IU. "Another study found that 30 minutes of midday summer sun exposure in Oslo, Norway was equivalent to consuming 10,000–20,000 IU of vitamin D (8Trusted Source)." https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/vitamin-d-from-sun#time-of-day
  10. Great news. Hopefully the Ukrainian soldiers decimate this scourge!
  11. "When you talk about the multiple multivitamins and the herbs and the things that people do to so-called boost immunity, that really doesn't boost immunity and may have a better placebo effect than anything else," Fauci said. " "Fauci will still say, without question, the best ways to control the pandemic are the measures he's been recommending endlessly for months: good hand hygiene, mask-wearing, and social distancing." https://www.businessinsider.com/fauci-3-tips-keep-your-immune-system-strong-vitamins-sleep-2020-9
  12. You'll definitely want to make sure she has insurance and a motorcycle license. Police could take the scooters away at a checkpoint until she provides proof of insurance and a valid motorcycle license. Sounds like a bad idea but good intentions.
  13. I was wondering the same thing. Our dog tried eating a poisonous toad. He pulled through. Wife says we would dig a hole (deep) and bury him on our property. Probably wise to bury far from a well or other water source.
  14. Hopefully he cuts down now that it's been proven useless against COVID. Older people though it's good for the bones supposedly. At that amount its almost toxic. "The main consequence of vitamin D toxicity is a buildup of calcium in your blood (hypercalcemia), which can cause nausea and vomiting, weakness, and frequent urination. Vitamin D toxicity might progress to bone pain and kidney problems, such as the formation of calcium stones." https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/expert-answers/vitamin-d-toxicity/faq-20058108#:~:text=The main consequence of vitamin, the formation of calcium stones. I'm out in the sun and drink plenty of milk. Plenty of natural Vitamin D, the best.
  15. I haven't been to Nong Khai for a long time. The pandemic was really hard on it with minimal traffic across the border. Cool City.
  16. Actually I was agreeing with you. I meant the person whom you were directing the question to. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
  17. Nothing much in rain for upper Sakon Nakhon for two weeks despite dire warnings everyday. Okay with me. Rain=No electricity here.
  18. Perfect fit. Same in regards to their Generals. Confused and dazed if they ever encountered anything dealing with military maneuvers.
  19. Typical fascist spouting the usual garbage. Take no heed.
  20. Pity Thailand hasn't a backbone when it comes to this abhorant invasion of Ukraine. What do expect when the Thai "government"are buddies with the ruthless Myanmar Coupe leaders. Disgusting!
  21. I've had problems trying to rent a scooter in Laos. Usually in terrible shape. Interesting to rent a quality car there. You definitely don't need a breakdown in Laos.
  22. "the government has signed bilateral agreements with Thailand, Vietnam, China and Cambodia that allows drivers from those countries to drive freely in Laos as long as their licenses are in English or accompanied with an official translation into English. The same applies for Lao people driving in those countries." https://jclao.com/driving-laos-license-need/ Thai driving license, good to go.
