  1. So we should all act like 5yos then. Using forum facilities isn't acting like a 5-year old but starting a thread in which you're whining about emoji responses that seem to upset you could be considered to be that. Perhaps we should all accept that some members find their use suitable when a particular post isn't worth the time it would take to type a response or would result in irrational bickering responses and I'm not necessarily referring to you.
  2. Why join any forum if you aren't prepared to accept forum-facilitated responses to posts?
  3. Prohibited by Thai law or prohibited by bank policy? Bank policy/BoT recommendations; there is no statute prohibiting such action and branch managers have discretion as to who is permitted to open accounts and the requirement or waiving of certain conditions.
  4. If an account was authorised to be opened by the branch management (all new accounts require management/senior staff sign-off) the same branch management are not going to close the account that they authorised. Please think twice before magical fear-mongering warnings.
  5. He's a candidate in an upcoming local government election. How is that not a political career? That career hasn't started until he is elected.
  6. Obtaining a license doesn't mean subsequently driving a car. I think that it, more likely than not, does as the car in which he passed his test would have to be driven away. In Thailand one must have driven a car in the driving test to, legally, obtain a licence and the chances of never driving a car after the issuance of the licence until the day of this incident is, practically, zero.
  7. "a candidate in the upcoming local government elections" QED. He doesn't have a political career yet that could be ended
  8. Doubtless you can quote an example of that? Seriously.
  9. There has been mention of that but most AN posters don't bother reading anything else. He was sober.
  10. No he wasn't, as has been reported, he was absolutely sober. Sober driving at its worst.
  11. Tested within a couple of hours and not at all drunk.
  12. Where was that reported? He got his licence years ago.
  13. Really?... "The Royal Thai Highway Police will press charges against Smitthiphat Leenawarat, the son of a prominent Pathum Thani politician, following a traffic incident. Pol Col Kuekkong said that blood alcohol tests conducted two hours after the incident showed no trace of alcohol in his system. He also addressed public concern over the red number plate on Mr Smitthiphat's BMW. Preliminary checks revealed inconsistencies with the vehicle's registration. The Department of Land Transport will probe the matter further. If fraud is confirmed, the car and various documents will be handed over to Lam Luk Ka police for a possible document forgery case. In addition to the reckless driving charge, Mr Smitthiphat will face an additional charge for driving without a valid licence, as his licence expired in June 2021. Investigations are also examining the speed at which he approached the M-Flow toll booth".
  14. You may think that but "we all" do not know that.
  15. The perpetrator in this case doesn't have a political career to end.
  16. Bangkok Post is running with the name and picture. Of the driver
  17. He was tested and showed no intoxication and investigations are well underway.
  18. Smitthiphat Leenawarat Pickup truck driven by 65-year-old Prachak Duangyai. His wife, Somsri, 64, was a passenger in the vehicle. Bangkok Post shows no fear.
  19. He has been named and shamed...Smitthiphat Leenawarat. But what "political future" when he's not a politician?
  20. Your friends are talking b0llocks.
  21. How does that work? You make is appear as though it's a walk in the park.
  22. 'Kin ridiculous comment.
