Bugger off with your pointless pedantry for once.
I was replying to a poster who said this will kill tourism
Try reading to whom I was responding and the context before the pointless, insulting personal attacks. I was responding to BangkokReady, not you.
It's so startling when a Thai accepts responsibility for his wrong doing that it has to be commented on by the media.
No one has accepted responsibility and no one has yet been shown to have been in the wrong.
Maybe youre reading something differen than i am. They arent introducing any new hurdles for thai drivers
Obviously you're reading something that has not been reported in the OP, they haven't introduced any new hurdles for foreign drivers, either.
If they want to drive, probably. If they don't, and then come a cropper, they'll certainly remember it, and tell all their friends.
You seriously do not know that most countries' licences are legal here for tourists use?
Huh? "Divert attention" from what?
How many tourists' decisions as to whether to visit Thailand would ever depend on their ability to get a Thai driving licence when their domestic licences are legal here?
I think it does not apply for renewals. But, like everything else each office may set its own requirements.
Doesn't apply for any licences at the moment...it's only a proposal.
Why do I need to elaborate on something that was clearly reported in the OP?...
"...investigations revealed his real trade was in supplying cocaine to foreign nationals" so it's not very likely that he was set up by a Thai purchaser, is it?
He was caught carrying a firearm.
No, he was not carrying a firearm...
"A subsequent search of his residence unveiled an additional 424 grams of cocaine and the handgun, with the seized drugs valued at nearly half a million baht".
You seem to be suggesting that she has just left Cambridge and stepped straight into the top job at MI6 and that her education is "hilarious". What's so fcking "hilarious" about it?
