  1. Back up that "fact" if it is a fact...how do you know there are no active notices for him?
  2. Co-operation with IOs who can cancel extensions is hardly being one of the "scared of your own shadow" brigade; "sensible and circumspect" is a better characterisation.
  3. How, exactly, can my showing that the Interpol red notice was issued be interpreted as "defending him"? I have never defended his actions and you can quote nothing to show that I have.
  4. There was one, a long time ago but was withdrawn... Yes and another was issued in 2020... "Interpol issues 'red notice' for Thai Red Bull heir over fatal hit and run Vorayuth Yoovidhya faces fresh charges after public outrage led to further investigations Agence France-Presse in Bangkok Sun 4 Oct 2020 14.55 BST Share Interpol has issued a “red notice” to arrest the fugitive Thai heir to the Red Bull billions over his role in a fatal hit-and-run incident in Bangkok, police have said. The move by the international police organisation is the latest in the years-long saga surrounding Vorayuth “Boss” Yoovidhya who crashed his Ferrari in 2012, killing a police officer. The charges against Vorayuth, who is the grandson of Red Bull’s co-founder Chaleo Yoovidhya, were dropped in July, sparking public outrage among the Thai public who saw it as an example of impunity granted the wealthy in the country. The anger led to investigations being launched by various government agencies including the attorney general’s office, which last month announced fresh charges against Vorayuth of reckless driving causing death, and cocaine use. A police spokesman, Col Krissana Pattanacharoen, confirmed on Sunday that a red notice – Interpol’s most urgent alert – was issued earlier this week.
  5. What do you mean by "hasn't been active for quite some time"?
  6. Why should there be such a published listing? The reference to foreigners in the OP is not "the listing of all those pulled over" for comparison, it is just a few examples selected for the, predominantly and obviously, non-Thai audience of the publication. If you really think that less than fifteen Thais were pulled over for similar offences in a province of Thais there's something wrong with your logic.
  7. Where have you got the evidence from that "foreigners are not returning"? Pulled out of a dark, musty orifice, no doubt.
  8. Could be because the Phuket Express is a foreigner-centric publication to whom reports like this are of interest.
  9. Said someone who could never know how wrong he was, ever (about one of them, at least). I'm interested in what could possibly have made you think that.
  10. Where did he say that? I think you just made it up. Bill clearly addressed the question of the best option for the Swift fees by suggesting a way to eliminate all of them. If he had a Schwab account he'd more than likely have (a) used it and (b) mentioned it but he was making a SWIFT transfer from his bank. Unfortunately, the suggestion for the elimination of SWIFT fees clearly wouldn't work for him.
  11. I'd venture that its more likely that you will be looking for a Mr. Universe contestant in 12 months.
  12. He hasn't got a Schwab account. He was asking which was the best option for the SWIFT fees, that's all.
  13. Yeh it lets him know that there are better options. But Lou I get that might be hard for you to grasp. No, he wasn't asking for alternatives but I get that might be even harder for you to understand, that aside, you didn't give him an alternative with your initial revelation.
  14. I know, that's what I posted... "Declaration amounts depend on the regulations of the departure country..."
  15. What do you mean, "What is up with this"? Why not call Shopee and ask them. Or check what the payable amount is when you do the "Buy" process...before you hit "Pay".
  16. There is no limit but you have to declare if more than 10k. Declaration amounts depend on the regulations of the departure country and the arrival country...only cash exceeding $20k value into Thailand has to be declared, for example.
  17. If your only option is SWIFT, you're stuck with its fees and options, no point discussing correspondence banks' fees, something that is there, like it or not, and not open to negotiation.
  18. On private property? Which states have parking laws that apply on private property such as the OP is referencing.
  19. Posts cannot be deleted. Depends on how much you want the beneficiary to receive. Selecting the other options doesn't alter the charge, it just shifts it to the beneficiary, or shares it between the remitter and the beneficiary. If the transfer is to a third party, that party will receive less if you share the charge or put it all on them.
  20. Which countries have parking laws that apply on private premises?
  21. Oh. What's the relevance to the thread and to my quoted comment?
