This is evidenced by the escape of a prisoner from a hospital on Sunday where he had been taken for dental treatment a few days earlier as reported.

I am not a public figure who is hoodwinking an entire nation! Public figures have aright to medical confidentiality, not just you and I. Where, and by whom, has it been confirmed that there is "medical hoodwinking" going on? Bear in mind that speculation and hearsay count for less than nothing...as does "we all know".

When influential people like Thaksin take advantage of their status and make a mockery of the law. You make that comment as though it is proven fact, not just speculation.

And of course the lines at the russian embassy for Thais looking to vacation in russia is miles long. They get 90 days visa-free, apparently, why would there be any lines at the Russian embassy?

Thailand doesn't need to "try" to get cheap oil from Russia, it already gets around just 25% of it's oil from there. Most comes from the Middle East and the Far East.

Only a small proportion of Thailand's imported oil comes from Russia.

That is not the case, all the usual supermarkets and similar outlets for those products will refund, usually with no problems. I'm referring to Lotus's, Tops, Central, Big C, Makro, 7-11, Maxvalu, Foodland, etc.
