  1. He's entertaining! Where you been Lou? ???? Well, that's one opinion.
  2. This forum is getting tediously near to being needed to be re-named "Gawd...Bob Smith's Daily Journal".
  3. Bad idea, you online report wont work. Just man up, go and see them and pay the fine. It isnt a big deal Spot on. It is no big deal, it is a very common, inadvertent, B2k slip up that no one in the Immigration office will care anything about.
  4. What was "not unexpected"? There a number of aspects to this story, perhaps you were referring to RTP Commissioner Damrongsak Kittipraphat's emphasising his commitment to ensuring justice for all parties and maintaining Big Joke’s innocence?
  5. The rest of us "heard" that by reading the recent articles about this, including this one, it is no big secret that "a Thai" let you in on specially!
  6. Certainly, not, I wouldn't want to deprive you of the benefits of absorbing my comments nor me of the amusement from so many of your posts. You could, of course, put me on the sad "Ignore" list, though, and then make an announcement about it!
  7. Isn't this a public forum where anyone can say anything that they want to say without tiresome "directions" from other posters?
  8. Why iPhone, is that brand the only one on the market apart from Xiaomi?
  9. Actually those are the only available from Tops online at my location in Bangkok currently. I am in Bangkok and, actually, and the spuds that you selected are not the only choice that is available for delivery, either yesterday when we made our posts or right now.
  10. Interesting that you chose to feature just the more expensive spuds that Tops have available!
  11. But they deliver from a set supermarket for your area and your orders are based on stock at that location. I use them. I know that, I don't know what your point is. Their distribution place where online orders are processed often carries stock that other Tops supermarkets in the area don't have.
  12. Tops online (not "mail order"!)does not restrict the areas to which it delivers.
  13. But they want for 40 baht a kg range - will be double that from Tops. Gawd...how awful. He was trying to get his spuds from Tops in the first place so I doubt if the B40 you refer to is going to be an issue.
  14. If you're trying to open an account then they will check the electoral register I know, hence the content of my post!
  15. Just as the RTP cannot barge in and investigate a death in the UK, the UK police cannot investigate a death that occurred in Thailand, that's only the RTP's jurisdiction.
  16. Even more astounding that some posters seem to think that there is a real Thai market selling spuds, etc. near to everyone and that everyone can, or wants to, traipse around a real Thai market easily.
  17. Ordering fresh potatoes online? From Tops, yes, why on earth not? It's just another shopping item... https://www.tops.co.th/en/search/potatoes
  18. Appreciate that tip, a SIM is now on it's way to me. Got a feeling, though, that when I get past the UK phone number stage the next thing that they will require, after their credit check comes up blank for me, is a confirmable UK address which doesn't exist. Thanks, anyway. https://www.starlingbank.com/open-bank-account-online/ "The small print When you apply for a current account with us, we’ll carry out some quick checks at a UK Credit Reference Agency. The initial checks leave a soft footprint on your credit file, and the overdraft check leaves a hard credit check footprint. If we need additional proof of address information we’ll get in touch via the app".
  19. You suspect wrong, I opened it overseas and I dislike you accusing me of lying when you have absolutely no basis for it. In which country? On this generally Thai-centric forum are you claiming that Starling will open accounts online using a Thai phone number? They will not, if they would I'd have the Starling account that I've been trying to get for years. From Starling's website... "Who is eligible for a Starling bank account? You can apply for a Starling account as long as you’re over 16 and live at a UK address"
  20. Ordering online is best if the individual shops that you use, such as Tops, don't have stock.
  21. Not talking about Wise, which is not a UK bank, but I suspect that your Starling account was opened while you were in the UK or by using all UK details as a UK phone number is one of the first things that have to be provided. Starling accounts cannot be opened from Thailand using the applicants Thai details.
  22. I know exactly how extradition requests are made and I did not say that they can be demanded. His specific charge, that has to be notified to any country from which extradition is requested, is a traffic offence, if you were a lawyer you'd know that your choice of words, "cop killer" would be incorrect and disregarded...he is not wanted for murder, even if you chose to word it in a way that suggests that. If, as you claim, most countries would agree to cooperate, any suggestions as to why Thailand's extradition request to the UK authorities after he was photographed near his London home was not acted upon?
