  1. C'mon, they can drink beer, wine, etc. also in Thailand, any day of the year.
  2. Sorry, Trans, just as in the UK, Thailand does not tell the populace what they are allowed to consume in terms of alcohol sale bans. They can drink themselves into oblivion every day of the year if they want to, it's just the selling of it that is not permitted.
  3. Pretty much everything. You're completely out of touch. If you kept up with news and current events you'd have seen countless statements by law enforcement and political leaders as to the illegality of prostitution, and just because it's tolerated doesn't mean it's still not illegal on the books. This is a debate that is nearly constant amongst authorities. Go back to your beer, leave the intellectual heavy lifting to those who are qualified. So you've got nothing, then! Thought so. Everything that I posted about the legality/illegality of prostitution in Thailand was accurate, if it wasn't, point out where I went wrong. I was not commenting on the toleration of prostitution and the definition of prostitution is not determined by news and current events! So much for your heavy lifting ability.
  4. How could you ever know that about a possible change that is nothing more than a consideration at the moment. Unless they have PR, there are no "long term expat residents" (except for special circumstances/applications/investments) we are all short term. temporary, twelve-month term residents, no more.
  5. The Bangkok Post had an article about it also. What's the "publication that cannot be named here"?
  6. Watch this spot. Got it. No others have indicated that they will be jumping on the bandwagon, that's what i thought.
  7. Let me help you , since basic comprehension is not your forte they are and were prostitutes which is illegal in Thailand No, let me help you. Simply being a prostitute is not illegal in Thailand. The girl who lives in my condo block who sells sex at night is a prostitute but she can never be arrested for being that unless she is actually prostituting herself by soliciting, importuning, advertising or acting as a prostitute in a brothel. That is the offence. These LBs are prostitutes but were not arrested after being seen soliciting, they were arrested/questioned/voluntarily turned up at the police station in relation to a fight with foreigners.
  8. Really? I've only heard of two that are doing that...SCB and KTB. Which others are doing it?
  9. Right back at you. What, specifically, did I post that was wrong in the context of prostitution in Thailand?
  10. Ignorance is bliss! Yes, it is, but there's no need to criticise bignok for posting that.
  11. Foreigners die everywhere yet still they keep going to those places. Amazing, isn't it, that 99.9% of foreigners don't die there.
  12. What makes them illegal? As long as they produce less than 95Db they'd be legal, surely? Why do you say that most of them exceed that?
  13. Not the renters fault It is if the rental companies don't check that the renters have valid licences.
  14. Their allegation could also be correct. How could you know that it is "biased and ridiculous" unless you've personally checked the papers of each rider?
  15. Bet it was. You were standing on her? How far did you get it to go?
  16. Bunch of katoeys??? No, still wrong, he asked what the collective PRONOUN is!
  17. Spot on as a generalisation, but not a pronoun. "Bunch" is collective noun, "c_unts" is a noun!
  18. A gang of thieving ladyboys! How's that? No, no good, either, "gang" would be a collective noun, not a collective pronoun!
