Electric baht busses for Pattaya......Good idea or Bad idea.....
Liverpool Lou replied to redwood1's topic in Pattaya
They have boots... baht buses do not. Where is the tank (s) located? Minivans sure are safe... There are many baht buses in Bangkok, The LPG tanks are either under the vehicle or under the passenger seats. I can't recall having seen any reports about Bangkok's minibuses burning people to death, either. -

An opinion piece in which the author said nothing whatsoever that required a medical qualification. You should have read it. -

You seem to think that Hunter Biden is being cared for by Biden because of a long painful terminal illness that he doesn't have. -

Oh yes, waiting for the news of that mishap with tourists being burned alive! LPG-fuelled public transport has been in use for years in Bangkok and I don't recall a single instance of those vehicles burning passengers alive, why would you think that it would happen in Pattaya? -
Why are Filipinos/Filipinas so friendly?
Liverpool Lou replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Bit of a (false) sweeping generalisation. Is it false if it is what he has experienced? Of course not, but then instead of condemning Thai girls generally, as he did, he should have said that his experience was just with a couple of them. My experience is that, generally, Thai assistants are not "always looking at their phones and never smile" but I'm sure that a couple of them may have fallen into that category, therefore my experience is that his statement was false, as a generalism. -

With respect LL they are you know! When in Pattaya this year, I found that whereas in 2020 every 7/11 around the Soi Bukhau area had a SCB ATM, now none of them do. This is apparently due to 7/11 and SCB terminating their contract but the fact remains that none of the ATMs I used to use are there any more. As it happens, Bangkok Bank ATMs accept SCB cards without charging but the vanishing ATMs are a fact. With respect, ATMs are not disappearing fast, you know. SCB's may no longer be at the 7-11s in the area that you describe but they are not "disappearing fast", generally, there are plenty of them all over the place.

Thai Mobile Banking Apps Crash On Payday, Transfers Put Off

walk to a branch and hope you can walk the 30km and don't get hungry between....because you can't pay a taxi or gasoline The petrol can be bought with a debit card or the taxi could be paid with a withdrawal from any ATM or with cash withdrawn from the bank counter/ATM on arrival...unless you're one of those who has to pay in advance for taxis. Did you choose to live 30km from a bank or did someone force that on you? -

...you go to a branch. Then get your phone fixed, it isn't the bank's fault if you've got a crappy phone. -

iPad or similar hopefully continues to work… Only if you've got their mobile app on the iPad. A online facility that is ceasing to exist cannot be accessed on anything...obviously. -

"Nigel Farange [sic] ...has lost all bank access in the UK last week". 1. He has not lost his banking facilities...yet. 2. The reason has not been reported as confirmed by anyone, yet, and it will never be. "...following orders from above". Where did you get that gem from and who do you claim is issuing the orders? "Nigel Farange..." You don't even know his name, how could you possibly know anything about his banking arrangements!? -

So you don't use a bank account for the cash that you're not using because the government may confiscate it, is that what you're saying? -
Did you listen to what he said? He's salivating at the thought of getting the world population thinking correctly. Did you listen to what he said? He did not say that he wanted everyone to have chips in their brains, which was the comment to which I responded. He wasn't "salivating" anymore than any of us do normally, either.
