  1. "...the only Thai bank that I would call a 'real bank'". That says more about you than it does about Thai banks.
  2. May also be the professionalism of doing what the rules require. The anti-money laundering rules apply to Thais also (ID), not just foreigners.
  3. I read nothing like that on Thaiger. There must have been some reason she 'thought she may be guilty'. And that's a lot of money to have in (and now out of) the bank. "I read nothing like that on Thaiger". Before unjustifiably disparaging her for no reason, you should have read the article in full, then, properly... "...or transfer all her money for inspection by the Audit Department of the AMLO Office". "There must have been some reason she 'thought she may be guilty'". There was, the reason was that she was coerced into it and was being conned by a scammer. "And that's a lot of money to have in (and now out of) the bank". So what, is it illegal for a retired medical professional and owner of a private business to be wealthy?
  4. You heard wrong. Where did you "hear" it, on an anonymous forum?
  5. So sad...and BTW, how is he affected by your not reading his posts?!
  6. But they are doctors and will prescribe legally after a consultation and examining him, you, clearly, are not and you should not be posting "advice" such as that.
  7. If you're renting at B16k per year, as you posted, I'd stick with it, you won't find a much better deal than that.
  8. You should have read the article properly, she did not transfer the money to hide misdeeds she was conned into transferring it so that it "could be investigated" ( and her being subsequently cleared) for money laundering.
  9. ???? it worked ! Well, you think it did. You're either American or think that 250-odd years old English is still generally in use today...or both. The irony!
  10. "In other civilized countries that would mean a hefty fine, if not suspended jail and for sure not having your drivers license for a long time" Really? Which countries would those be?
  11. If you bothered to read the full article properly you'd know that was false.
  12. The smoking tyre of the locked right rear wheel of the red pickup indicates that it was braking hard immediately before a sharp right hand bend in the road, that is why the pickup headed to the right. One bike stops and one bike and one car passes the accident, no other vehicles go past the scene in the 23 seconds after the impact that you were able to view. What makes you think that no one had stopped to help. out of the camera's range. in the less than 30 seconds after the collision?
  13. Yeah don't know why the 15 year of age was all about really. I'd suggest that his choice of a forum name has something to do with it.
  14. The age of majority in Thailand is 20. Kwasaki referred to the police that stated they could do nothing cuz she wus over 18. I know what the age of majority is and I also know what Kwasaki posted, unlike you apparently. Why did you comment about the irrelevant age of consent?
  15. This was a close call.. Yes, it was, five years ago, on an empty bus and not caused by LPG/NGV..
  16. Age of consent in Thailand is 15. The age of majority, which is what was being referred to, isn't 15!
  17. Perhaps he was suggesting that the involvement of the police should be because of the organised gambling that's going on?
