Thailand’s experiment with weed goes up in smoke

"...we can now smoke it freely". Er, not officially anywhere, you can't. -

Rationally, who do you think should be responsible for paying compensation to those who voluntarily decided to set up their own businesses (dodgy, in most cases as they do not sell only for medical reasons)? Presumably, you mean the government, does the government pay compensation to other entrepreneurs whose bars, coffee shops, restaurants, etc. failed? -

No, the point is that they invested voluntarily with no promises of returns. Capitalism involves risk. -

He did not say that he knew, he said "I don't think...", which is an opinion that he is entitled to express on a forum. -

What's the "problem" for tourists, 24 hours without buying alcohol, at least eight of which they'd probably be sleeping, so one evening of sobriety? -

You may need to be able to back up that accusation with something empirical. -

You mean all the Thais who started businesses 99% of which are not selling the stuff for medical use only as the law permits? Who cares...they took a gamble. -
You think it's a good idea to let him know the sort of people that he's highlighted it to, i.e. the Thai-bashers. p1ss-takers and grammar-checkers?! So far, the majority of responses to the OP have been negative.

Likely it's you, then.

The heat has softened the adhesive and the letter "s" has just slid down the glass a bit! Or perhaps it's just an indication of what the shop has in store for non-Thai customers...foreigner welcomes.

Banks Considering New Fee Structure to Align With Operating Costs
Liverpool Lou replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
a lie?? you have no clue what you are talking about... Yes, a lie. You posted that there are "almost no bank offices (branches, presumably) anymore", that is false, there are thousands. Just because you select an area where they aren't well represented doesn't mean that there are almost no branches anywhere. -

Complete nonsense, why would you post such a lie? The main Thai banks combined (that foreigners normally deal with) have, literally, thousands of branches. -
Banks Considering New Fee Structure to Align With Operating Costs
Liverpool Lou replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The rationale when ATMs were introduced in the UK in the 70s was not to get rid of bank charges altogether and that was 50 years ago. Today we have increased services and products from the banks and anyone who expect charges to reduce over 50 years or expects free services that cost the banks' money is not being reasonable. -

Electric free (solar). Washing up free (Thai woman) That would make sense if the solar installation and the upkeep of the Thai woman were free.
