  1. If things didn't work out, why would his wife need to sell her house? That aside, why would it not be possible to sell the land and house?
  2. Not so simple, there's tens of taxis there, they don't leave one at a time and the meters cannot be on until the taxi is about to move off. Who gets into a taxi with a meter that's already running and showing flag fall and waiting time?
  3. It's ok, there's so much hearsay posted here that yours won't make any difference!
  4. A haughty sneer with a facial expression as though they've just put their finger through the toilet paper!
  5. It wasn't me, it was reported on a news service. The way that you wrote it ("I can recall" and all the specifics) could only be interpreted as your reporting your own experience... "Best I can recall was the taxi driver who could speak some English, half way swampy to the city said 'please show me the taxi card you received at the airport, see, it says 50Baht for airport taxi service, it's a printing error, it's actually 500Baht'."
  6. He didn't hide the "tariff card" (there's a photo of it taken by the passenger), the problem is that there is no "tariff card", there's a meter!
  7. There was no suggestion in the link of a heart attack being the cause.
  8. That's completely wrong, foreigners are not "the problem" as the majority of prostitution in Thailand is driven by Thai men.
  9. Because he hasn't been proven guilty, or even charged. Yet.
  10. That's why they have been shifted out and are being investigated.
  11. He could have been named but, as he has not been charged with anything, never mind been proven guilty, yet, disclosing his name in such a serious case is probably unwise.
  12. I hope your not implicated in giving her money, but that's for the cops to decide i guess. Why would leaving her a tip before he left be a problem for him?
  13. You can also order online for delivery.
  14. So bays and gulfs never have waves? You're not seriously claiming that nonsense, are you?
  15. Yes, there are, enlarge the pic.
  16. But you'd be wrong, as evidenced by the OP!
  17. Perhaps they had but they were strong enough at the time to kill the poor bloke involved.
  18. The photo shows plenty of waves if you enlarge it, not huge breakers but plenty of waves.
  19. That's such a ridiculous remark.
  20. I think you'll find that could be 100% wrong... "Foreign Tourist Drowns in Strong Waves at Pattaya Sea".
  21. yeah right. what's next, some nonsense about breaks and break lights? https://www.longacreracing.com/products.aspx?itemid=2445&prodid=7212&pagetitle=Toe-Bar
  22. If referring to motoring, it is TOW bar, you know, to TOW the car with. "Toe bar" is also associated with a vehicle's suspension measurement/adjustment.
  23. She's not in custody. She may sacrifice that mil for her freedumb.. All from the link that accompanies the OP... "She is being held at an undisclosed location in Michigan for security reasons after U.S. Marshals brought her back to Michigan, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said". "A spokesperson for the FBI said that Howson arrived in San Francisco on Feb. 24 and was then taken into federal custody". "Your bond in this case will be $1 million cash, surety, no ten percent." If Howson posts bond [$1m cash], she'll be placed under house arrest and have to wear a GPS monitor. Have there been any substantiated reports that she's come up with $1,000,000 cash to get out?
  24. I don't drive. Vehicle is owned by my Mrs (albeit paid for with my money). Fines were incurred by my stepson. Whoever is legally/morally responsible for payment of these fines it isn't me. By using "we" you included yourself in the "we haven't paid" comment, hence my comment. The person legally responsible for the fines is the driver at the time, if it wasn't the owner, then the owner is legally obligated to inform the police who was driving. If the owner does not do that, the owner is then responsible for the fines.
