    How would the police know, by checking every bank in Thailand? Very easy, documents of the deceased, perhaps, ATM cards in the possession of the deceased, bank passbook? Police have to be informed of the death of a foreigner in Thailand and do not think that they would not visit the persons home/address.

    The 'dedicated' Bangkok Banks on the street are CLOSED on Saturdays & Sundays, well, here in Phitsanulok. What's a "dedicated" branch, they're all the same. The branches on the street are closed in Bangkok also, but the mall branches aren't and each one provides full banking services for those who need weekend service.

Not the main branches A branch is a branch, its location does not alter its operation or its normal facilities, the branches on the street offer exactly the same services as mall branches. When you say "main branch" that would be the Head Office branch, yes?

    Those police officers do not have their weapons holstered on display, they are concealed in that bum bag. Had he threatened the officers? Could there not have been a firearm or other weapon in his bag at the time? He was not yet restrained in the photo so how do you know that he had been compliant?

Why do you say that? There have been many reports here of LBs and Thai being arrested for snatching jewellery.
