you will not come out of this situation ahead, unless... you convince her and her family that now is a good time to sell and keep everything very peaceful in the mean time so they don't drop you and split town with all your cash. Perhaps look around for another investment opportunity (one that won't really happen) so that the reason to sell is for more financial gain (Thai's adore money). When the money is finally out and you take your share of it back, then you have a few options. Do you stay or do you go. Finesse this one and play it smart or you will never see that money again.

That whole 'first man on the moon' thing? I was the videographer and we filmed it all in the New Mexico desert at high speed then simply slowed the scenes to half speed to give the impression of low gravity. Many of the 'astronauts' and I have been gay lovers on and off (no pun intended) for many years and that was supposed to be a secret as well but now that we are at the End of Existence, I don't suppose it matters.

Some good teak furniture would be much cheaper than in the US. Also silk.
i think there is a law that requires you to get a permit first in order to export wood products from Thailand. I could be wrong, I saw this law pre coup during Taksin era.

There are 2 options. You could hire through an agency which might guarantee a little bit more competency but a bit more expensive, or you could hire from just outside your thai social group, which would be a little cheaper but it could cause problems if the guy is an idiot and doesn't know his way around and shows up late for appointments and such. You should have at least a month trial period with lower pay to see if he is alright. If he works out for you then you are fine.
I find that in Thailand sometimes it is much easier and cheaper in the long run to pay a few more baht for a competent employee.

the price for a driver in Phuket may be different than other places in Thailand. You should post this one in the Phuket forum if you want the local price. You wouldn't want to over or under pay him according to your area because it might cause problems.

I just posted a thread in the food forum about Western food cooking classes, and it got me to thinking about adult learning classes here in Thailand.
In the US, continuing education and annex learning classes are a great way to improve yourself, learn new things and also make for an excellent way to spend quality time with your significant other. Taking a Spanish language class, pottery making, cooking, wine tasting and a few others are all classes I took in the US at learning annexes.
I was wondering if anyone had any similar experiences in Thailand with taking this type of short learning courses. There most be some, as a previous girlfriend took a class on web design.
Where, what did you take and how would you rate it? Please let me know.
I am currently enrolled in an online Paralegal course that will give me my CLA (Certified Paralegal) when I complete it. There are many other subjects that you can study too that give you a certificate that may or may not be worth something. Eitherway, education and knowledge is the one thing that no one can ever take from you.
if you are interested i'm enrolled in this school. It's called Blackstone, they are the oldest distance learning program ever. They use to do everything by mail before the internet.

I was told and tried it with girls and it appears to work. hold your arms straight out with your palms up. A guys elbows wont be able to touch each other but a girls can, something about the shoulder bones. never tried it with a ladyboy since if i have any doubts at all i am outa there. sent a couple of good girls away that way i am sure but safe than sorry

black holes and the end of the world would have a dramatic impact on thailand and everyone in it. it would probably be the most important event to ever happen to thailand (the end that is).

i would be worried if the black hole was that big.
the black holes will be smaller than microscopic. they are working with the smallest particles that have never been tested before. i think everyone will be alright unless the black holes multiply in size at an incredible rate enough to destroy us all, which is the worry. in which case it might be the size or your arse.

I can just picture the OP taking all the advice from us here. He will go back to his partner and start poking and smelling him/her in a very strange manner. I see a lot of confussion for both parties in this relationship happening very soon.

That is pretty cool. I heard that the Taliban tried to destroy all cultural relics with bombs and such. Buddhism was once very prevalent in Afghanistan and there are certain groups that would like to erase that history.

Trust is an easy thing to lose. In this case, if you lose that then you lose all your money. Remember where you are. The Thai's are very good at survival. I have been married to a Thai girl now for 2.5 years and I'm not sure if I can trust her. My company is entirely in my name (Amity Treaty), and I never would have invested in Thailand had in not been the case. How long have you known this girl and her family?
