Attached are the emails that have been sent to me over the last 11 months. Does anyone have any idea of what I can do legally. The incompetence of law enforcement and the lawyers in this country are baffling. I would hate to have to take the law into my own hands and end up putting myself into a worse situation.

Most of you know of the payment online payment processor PayPal. Well there is a copycat that is known as AsianPay. www.asianpay.com

BE WARNED! DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE! Many people, including myself have lost thousands of dollars from this Chiang Mai based company. They are happy to receive money, but when it come to paying what is owed they simply delay payment or do not pay at all. I have been owed money from them for 11 months now. The Thai police are ignorant to online crime and such things as e-currencies so AsianPay has been able to operate with very little interference.

as foreigners we have very little say in the formation of policies. It is easier to joke about it than it is to beat our heads against a brick wall by trying to do something about it. Just take Thailand as it is. Trying to change anything will drive you insane. Just enjoy its benefits and don't get your panties in a bunch over its downfalls. Thailand's benefits far outweigh that of the US so I can tolerate a bit of strangeness and inequality even though it can be a bit frustrating at times.

tanning booths, hair dye, and stretched back eyes for all expats should to the trick. provide your non-immigrant visa at the door and get 10% off the reconstructive facial surgery. for you tall expats there is a procedure which will allow you to take about 8 cm out of your shins to make you shorter. I would only recommend this procedure to people that are planning on staying in permanently.

This along with legislation might make a difference.

i burned myself twice in the same spot within a week. The second time was done before the other had healed and left a real mess on my leg.

- you prefer to eat on the floor.

- white women start to look exotic (but i still think they are unattractive)

- you pass the police car as if it were standing still without concern for consequence.

- you don't know where else to pay your bills except for 7-11

- you start fusing thai food into westernfood (green curry burger, nam prik sandwich)

- you start using whiting soap because you couldn't find anything else at the store.

- you think nothing of drinking your beverage out of a bag.

- you pop your pimples in public in your motorcycle mirror just after picking your nose.

- you let ignorance slide much more than you would in the west (they are just thai, not stupid)

- allow yourself to play the ignorance card with no fear of repercussions.

- you battle your way to the front of the line when someone is trying to cut in front of you and feel victory when you beat them.

AsianPay owe many people money from e-gold exchanges they never completed last year. (E-gold currency to Thai Baht exchange). It looks like this is what the police report is also about.

They also owe me over US$ 8000, the attached report is very useful.

contact the people at this website and let them know that you have had problems with them as well. They can let you know what is currently going on with this situation.

It looks that way to me too. Electrical fires are common in Thailand due to the poor installation and lack of grounding. Because no one ever takes responsibility and always passing the the blame for everything, the fire must have been started by some hoodlums right?

Thanks for the link to that picture. It is the first I've seen it. It does look like an electrical fire started from the fuse box.

I am also curious if someone could translate this police report. It may be a bit hard to read because it is hand written.

Can someone please translate this for me, or at the very least give me the gist of what it is. I am trying to stop a fraud in Thailand.

แจ้งจับนายทุนชาวอิตาลีฉ้อโกงหลอกให้ชาวเชียงใหม่นำเงินมาลงทุนซื้อ-ขาย ทองคำ แลกผลตอบแทนในอัตราสูง พอเหยื่อหลงเชื่อกลับเบี้ยวไม่จ่ายเงินตอบแทน

เมื่อเวลา14.30 น.วันที่ 17 มีนาคม น.ส.อาภรณ์ ปัญญาแกร่ง ชาว จ. เชียงใหม่ พร้อมพวกอีก 13 คน เข้าแจ้งความกับ พ.ต.ท.ทีฆาวุฒิ บัณฑิตชู สกุล พนักงานสอบสวน สภ.หางดง จ.เชียงใหม่ เพื่อให้ดำเนินคดีนายคาร์โล โซริ โอ ชาวอิตาลี ในข้อหาฉ้อโกงทรัพย์

โดยน.ส.อาภรณ์และพวกอ้างว่า เคยเป็นพนักงานของ หจก.เอเชี่ยนเพ ย์ ของนายคาร์โล ซึ่งถูกนายคาร์โล หลอกให้นำเงินมาลงทุนเก็งกำไรซื้อขาย ทองคำผ่านเครือข่ายอินเทอร์เน็ต เว็บไซต์ www.asianpay.com โดยนายคา ร์โล บอกว่า จะระดมทุนไปซื้อขายทองคำในต่างประเทศในลักษณะแชร์ลูกโซ่ หากใคร นำเงินมาลงทุนก็พร้อมที่จะจ่ายเงินตอบแทนให้ในอัตราร้อยละ 2.75 ต่อวัน

น.ส.อาภรณ์กล่าวว่า ตนหลงเชื่อได้โอนเงินไปให้จำนวน 5 หมื่น บาท ซึ่งหากคิดดอกเบี้ยในอัตราร้อยละ 2.75 ก็จะได้ผลตอบแทนประมาณวัน ละ 300 บาท โดยได้โอนเงินผ่านบัญชีของธนาคารไทยพาณิชย์ สาขาบ้านถวาย จ. เชียงใหม่ ชื่อบัญชีคือ หจก.เอเชี่ยนเพย์

"ระยะ 1-2 เดือนแรกก็ได้รับเงินตอบแทน แต่หลังจากนั้นก็เงียบหายไป เลย เมื่อไปทวงถามที่ หจก.เอเชี่ยนเพย์ ก็ได้รับการปฏิเสธ จึงมั่นใจว่าถูก หลอก" น.ส.อาภรณ์ กล่าว

น.ส.อาภรณ์ยังอ้างด้วยว่า หจก.เอเชี่ยนเพย์ ยังใช้วิธีการขยาย สมาชิกโดยให้สมาชิกเดิมไปหาสมาชิกรายใหม่ในลักษณะแชร์ลูกโซ่ โดยจะมอบเงิน ให้ผู้ที่สามารถชักชวนบุคคลอื่นมาเป็นสมาชิกของห้างหุ้นส่วนจำกัดในอัตรา ร้อยละ 3 ของเงินที่นำมาลงทุน

"ตอนนี้มีผู้ที่หลงเชื่อนำเงินมาลงทุนกับ หจก.เอเชี่ยนเพ ย์ แล้วกว่า 400 ราย เป็นคนไทย 300 ราย มีทั้งนักธุรกิจ นายธนาคารและข้า ราชการ ที่เหลือเป็นนักลงทุนต่างประเทศชาวสิงคโปร์" น.ส.อาภรณ์ กล่าว

ด้านพ.ต.ท.ทีฆาวุฒิกล่าวว่า ขณะนี้มีผู้เสียหายเข้าแจ้งความดำเนิน คดีนายคาร์โล โซริโอ แล้ว 13 ราย และคาดว่าจะมีเข้ามาแจ้งความเพิ่มเติมอีก จำนวนมาก ซึ่งหลังจากนี้จะประสานให้กรมสอบสวนคดีพิเศษ (ดีเอสไอ) เข้ามา ดำเนินการสอบสวนเรื่องดังกล่าวต่อไป

good for you for not going back to her. no need to leave thailand though. just move to another part of town. you should also get your immigration sorted out asap before it causes you other problems.

ask them for a receipt. you should also check to see about their return policy. do they include a warranty so that she can be replaced if she breaks down?

The financing can be tricky. Is she a lease, or a rent-to-own type of deal?

Is there a law about leaving Thailand with my son without his mother? Can they stop me at the airport? He has a US passport.

I am wanting some time alone with my son while my wife cools off. I think that some time away from us might make her realize what is really important in this life. We are waiting for her to get her visa at which point she could join us again. For now, my household has become hostile and I don't believe it is an appropriate place for my son to be at the moment (or me for that matter).

It is the 999 Goverment bus and has been running direct from the island for several years now.

But nobody uses the bus until it is unloaded in Donsak, so why wouldn't they just leave the buses there and people could do the same thing they are doing now, which is getting on the bus in Donsak after riding the boat? Why bring the buses all the way to the islands for storage?

that is just some strange mother complex. My wife is a year older, not 20 years older.

Does anyone know why the large passenger buses are transported to the island daily by ferry from Donsak? Surely there must be some reason. I would think that they could store them in Donsak. It seems like a tremendous waste of space and energy to haul them everyday to this island.
