This is an outstanding example of 'not putting your brain into gear before mouth (fingers) go into neutral’....

Watch the video and you’ll feel very silly....

Never mind the video, who puts a bike in that position to begin with? If the rider knew Thai drivers, and was sober, it should never have happened, he just would not have been there at point of impact, look at the time it happened too, with pillion storage full of booze, to even imagine they were not riding sozzled is a huge suspension of disbelief.

Like I said, the B.Alc. forensics is just a formality.

I'll never forget the sickening smell of booze blood and death coming off bodies at almost every "faytac" I ever attended. RIP to him. We've all done similar silly things and fate was far kinder to us.

If i had $50m id still find oz boring. Its not money, its culture. Bland. Westernisation ruins it.

Yep. If I had serious money I'd spend northern summer in Portugal winter in Thailand.

New Zealand isn't bad at all, but southern winter messes up that schedule, something weird about Christmas in Summer, maybe because I was born in blighty.

I live in Thailand and had been seriously considering a move back to the UK mostly for my son's education and for a better family life (grandparents, lots of uncles, aunts, cousins). But now am unsure as I understand that the average energy bill in the UK will rise to aprox 500 GBP per month!!! Add to that the impending interest rate rises and rising food prices I honestly don't think I can afford to move back. Crazy times!

Far better off in every respect sending him to a private school in LOS. It's going to be way cheaper when your total costs are added up of the move. Kids in LOS still behave better than in the UK overall, and it's a trainwreck there right now, politics aside, anyone who can't see that, deserves what's coming. Even though supermarket prices in LOS are higher, they actually have more on the shelves than the UK now, and prices there will soon catch up, it's only going to get worse.

I have both NZ and UK citizenship, so this so called "report" doesn't matter, since I'm not an "expat" in NZ. It can't be that bad for expats either, British doctors, nurses, plumbers, etc, can't get over here fast enough.

There more to life than just a fat paycheck in £ as anyone whose lived in Thailand can confirm.

    Funny anecdote.

When I first time came here with a friend, he got tired of the ladies of the night, going in his mini bar first thing they arrived in the room.

    So he had the solution.

Before he went out, he would empty the mini bar and put it all in his suitcase.

Only thing is, in the morning he forgot to put it back, so the hotel refilled and charged for the complete mini - bar.

Happened 3 times on his 16-day holiday ????

This is why you always swing by the sewen on the way home with tonight's girlfriend, and generously pay for whatever snacks or little sundries they grab.

I usually even get them a large bottle of their favourite beer, helps get the elusive female libido going!

Of course there are even better party helpers out there nowadays, but that's "up to you".

No need to empty the fridge, you're the boss! If she wants more, send her downstairs to get it herself!

I've been in Pattaya for a few days and back 2 days ago.
Hundreds if not thousands walking around.
    Arabs, Indians.

Close to Terminal 21, hotel packed with Indians and many buses outside hotel to chauffeur them around.

    No thanks.

Better get to like curry after the pubs shut wherever you hang out, because India will overtake China in population next year, and they overtook the UK as the world's 5th largest economy last week!

I suppose that's because the French (fill in the Brexit blank here). ????

    Australian government travel advisory ....

    Do not travel to:

    • Yala province,
    • Pattani province,
    • Narathiwat province, and
    • Songkhla province

due to high levels of violence, including frequent attacks and bombings.

When was the last time a Malaysia citizen was a target? Or even a farang? It's the cops, army and their mates they go after, and to be perfectly honest, that's not keeping me awake at night.

Highly abusive and defamatory comment there against the most beautiful and classy first lady we ever had. Seeing such terrible false comments made against Melania makes me think this latest witch hunt against President Trump is falling apart at the seems causing such lashing out by the disappointed.

The Daily Mail is a RIGHT WING publication in the UK. Seems odd they would smear their kissin cousins in the US.

I'm guessing she was on the game, but fortunately for her, before smart phones, so all that's left are rumours, and of course, the rich pricks she was entertaining aren't going to squeal and bring shame or worse on themselves.

Thus the Daily Fail only had strong rumours and no concrete proof.

    Sue me!????

OK so they can't be named bcoz of defamation rules here, BUT they could name the ones that passed, even give em a sign outside, maybe the others would lose face and get their act together.

(incidentally has Pray-out been selling off his shirts, in the 2nd photo, isn't that the one $$ from his amazing beach video that captivated the world, cough cough.)

Defamation in Thailand in this particular case, amounts to: they'd rather burn alive than lose face!

    Greedy immoral morons.

I am well aware that people can hold multiple passports.  That is not the issue.  Thailand, technically, does not care.  But a Thai citizen is never supposed to use another passport, other than his or her Thai passport, to enter Thailand.  That is what we were told in no uncertain terms.

You may not appreciate the information....yet.  You may regret having gone this route with your wife later when the experience becomes your own.  Some get away with it, some don't.

This is absolutely correct! Missus former husband was a Thais/US citizen. Old school, had to "impress" immigration by departing (no problem) then returning on US passport. Well, the guacamole dip hit the fan then! Banged up for hours and paid a steep fine for his pains.

ALL countries require citizens to enter and leave with their native passports. No exceptions.

neither are of economical/recovery interest to Thailand, they don't drink, don't visit the bars, don't visit massage parlors because these are the places helping Thai tourism booming 555

Malaysia consists of 28 million of which, 24.6% Chinese and 7.3% Indians, they are both the dominant wealthy of the population, and they both drink often extravagantly, full bottle service, and enjoy raunchy nightlife, because I've travelled from Penang and partied with them in Hat Yai.

    Your assuptions came from where?

That said, the TAT are just a pack of charlatans and a waste of funding better spent on agricultre, food security is the next big thing, not tourism.

The rescue workers arrived at the scene to find a damaged motorbike near a garbage truck owned by the Koh Samui Municipality. Under the motorbike seat rescue staff stated they found cans and bottles of beer.

Here we go again. The 2 Farangs were obviously drunken so they are the culprits, Van driver innocent, Case closed no further investigation needed.

You can smell alcohol on a corpse, I should know, I've picked up enough remains off roads in my time.

I live in rural Thailand and talk to my Thai neighbours and friends and most of them are deeply unhappy with their own government and the heavy handed control of the military. They truly hate Prayuth and his cronies but looking around there is not a lot of choice.

Thanathorn, but the bastards have him pinned to the mat!
