  1. I am also unaware that he said something what you are insinuating. But you should be aware that lies - even if very powerful - do not have a long life. Similarly as sanctions.
  2. I took it that you write it with tongue-in-cheek. Or did you mean Viktor Bout could contribute something of his skill? What would be his portion in the $120B already spent?
  3. I cannot find in OP anything what you posted. Anyway, anything can be twisted. Some off-topics are not harmful for the debate (I call them off-topic Positive) some are not wishful (I call them off-topic Negative), we better do not want to see them.
  4. "Wipe them off the face of the earth so they can't invade other countries again"? Then, how many armies will be left on the earth?
  5. You surely have a plausible link to his speech in full. But please, spare us of the links where his speech was reinterpreted.
  6. Whether the all "connected people" will get really nervous? The better connected surely not...
  7. Your diminished tile grouting gives you "an advantage" in case of your neglected care for the algae growth. ???? The algae like to settle there instead of spoiling your water. In these days of very bright sunshine they have grown much more easily. Now, when you want to get rid of them fast, you can scratch them with a sharper brush, or line-by-line with something like a sharper chopstick or a longer wooden stick. Afterwards, vacuuming the mess laying at the floor. Then, it will still need something more to get rid of them completely. With a strong chlorine you will need to lower pH (i.e. a lot of pH Minus, or HCl acid). That's not only not cheap and slow but also not good for your diminished tile grouting, it will eat the grouting more. If you use a copper sulphate, a handful properly dissolved and distributed directly in pool, it will go faster and more properly - and cheaper. The water will be first milky, it will need a good filtering, the best 25h/day. And of course, frequent backwashing of the filter. Once you have finished the algae removal you should take better care in order not to face it again. There are many ways how to do it, every pool owner will swear on his one only. I do it with the (ir)regular handful of copper sulphate once in 2 - 3 months, then a spoon of common chlorine once in 1-2 weeks. And no need to bother with the pH measuring, the higher one is harmless for the grouting and for the humans either. Then, for the whole year I enjoy my crystal clear water.
  8. Why should he mention it even if it's true? What does it change on the crazy fact which side the German tanks are now fighting? Weren't the Sherman tanks used by Soviets and paid back by Soviets after the war much earlier than the British Land-Lease debt finished only some 15 years ago? Of course, the British had a huge debt to pay back. They got 3 times more military equipment than the USSR. Interestingly, this fact is hardly publicised when discussing why the UK won the war (as always mentioned at the Soviets). BTW, didn't you hear something about famous T-34 tanks? How the biggest tank battle at Kursk was won against the best German tank specialist gen. Guderian who said that even many hundreds tanks more would never help him to win.
  9. As per your own experience from your GF in Cz the people were careful to discuss anything, they did not believe what the regime told to them. And you "imagine things were not much better in the USSR". That means also the people in USSR did not believe the official propaganda. So, how did you conclude that now in USSR "between 50 to 80% of the people believe the lies and BS they are told on a daily basis by Russian state media and their pundits"? But perhaps you are right with the present 50 to 80%. They know very well how their country and their life has been changed, so they appreciate it, expressing it in a poll with figures unprecedented in other countries, highly developed with a high democracy. (Or is so, they are forced to those figures by "Putin and his henchmen"?) Then, the question is; How do you know that now only "the lies and BS they are told"? Do you know what "they are told"? Are you listening, reading what they are told? Then perhaps you can give us some examples of the lies and BS? Or is it so that you know it from what you "are told on a daily basis". Then, disclose us please: "where actually is the propaganda"?
  10. Are you imagining that the Russians are for ages bolted 24/7 to their TV 's, massaged by something like you know what's coming out of MSNCBCCNNFOX, you name it? If you are imagining so, where did you get this imagination from? Unless you have got it from your first-hand experience, you must got it from somewhere that surely would not lie to you, would they? Then, the consideration of this fact can give you a second thought: where actually is the "propaganda"?
  11. (Similarly as in Vietnam, wasn't it?) After 3 years of war and 3 millions deaths the DMZ line has not move 1 cm from the line that was drawn in 1945 after Potsdam Conference. Hadn't the Koreans suffered enough under Japan over centuries?
  12. How touching the care about North Korea. And worry about their democracy? Don't you worry about democracy and other mischiefs in your own country? Why not to leave the other 8 billion people alone? Do they need your worry - and wonderful care - about their problems?
  13. Why not to point out who they are to thank to?
  14. What all these hatred against North Korea? What did they do to world? Apart of that they tried to defend themselves when their country was bombed to rubble? And another 70 years struggling to survive the blockades? And what to think when one accusing them for sending weapons to Russia (even if denied and not confirmed)? https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-64072570 ...while another urges their cousins for weapon to Ukraine? https://edition.cnn.com/2023/01/30/asia/nato-chief-south-korea-speech-ukraine-intl-hnk/index.html In what weird world do we live?
  15. Why to quote just a half of his sentence? “It’s incredible, but it’s a fact: they are threatening us again with German Leopard tanks with crosses painted on their armor,” Putin said. “And they are again going to fight Russia on the territory of Ukraine with the hands of Hitler’s followers, the Banderites,” he said, referring to WWII-era Ukrainian nationalist leader Stepan Bandera who was widely considered to be a Nazi collaborator. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/world/putin-marks-anniversary-of-the-battle-of-stalingrad-justifies-invasion-of-ukraine
  16. That would be the first deserter in the human history if spoken in favour of his fellow soldiers...
  17. If you believe all what you are reading? Wondering whether have you read - and believed or not - about another "musicians" on the Ukrainian front? But not sure what's their current name (whether again according to a famous late composer?). They are changing their name, similarly like other PMC group...
  18. If you want to read only pleasant news about Ukrainian way of war and unpleasant of the Russians, why waiting with your ignore list?
  19. You surely can provide many links about that. The problem is that from Ukraine you will not be able to get any unpleasant news since the opposition there is no longer existing. But perhaps one name can remind you: Viktor Medvedchuk
  20. Hasn't this Ihor Kolomoisky been the one who made Zelensky? And hasn't it been a surprise for the Western partners, notably the EU, that Ukraine has been for decades on the top of corrupt countries? (Not exactly on the top, sometimes their neighbour Moldavia was a bit "better"...)
  21. Why you do not search a bit? There is a lot of to find: e.g.: Journalist Helen Thomas, who said Jews ‘should get the hell out of Palestine,’ dies at 92 Veteran White House correspondent covered 10 presidents and was known for her fiery manner, but her career came to an end over anti-Israel remarks https://www.timesofisrael.com/pioneering-and-controversial-journalist-helen-thomas-dies-at-92/
  22. Was it Germany what the late Helen Thomas, the First Lady of WH press corps, once advised?
  23. Why not? Try e.g. in Iran, always ostracized by Israel, over 100,000 Jews years ago, now much less, however: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/despite-tension-between-iran-and-israel-irans-jewish-minority-feels-at-home
