  1. Why? Do you insinuate that they (the Ukrainians) execute the prisoners? We do not hear such horrible stories about them, do we? The recent story and video about the point blank execution was not confirmed. (Or was it? By whom?)
  2. The countries in TOP 10 GDP are surely very proud on their achievement, not minding the enormous debt that sometimes looming to shut the government of the superpower as we are currently witnessing. And how does the GDP TOP 10 feel for the millions homeless and millions living in trailers? That beside the huge layoffs at the best companies owned by the Top 10 billionaires, just hearing somewhere about 18,000 at Amazon. How does the GDP per capita works for them? And the economies of developed nations? If you want to debate it properly you should learn more from their particular countries, not from the EU propaganda. For instance in case of Germany - the EU powerhouse - there are very strong calls by MPs (can be seen on YT) for an immediate resign of the minister of the very strong economy (similarly as just the defence minister), people struggling with their end meets after the huge cost increase, not only of energy, ten thousands are out in streets. In Paris reporting 1 million. Biggest industries are in real turmoil after the Russian sanctions backfire...
  3. If you believe everything what you read? Perhaps it could give you some second thought why during the last year - and even some time before - you have not read anything unpleasant about Ukraine, have you? And if even from an independent body has come something, it immediately caused an outrage, how dare they... And beside the official independent agencies, there are many others who try to report directly from the locations what's really going on. Do you think you will find in your favorite sources? There is only one truth: the truth is the first casualty of a war - and long before...
  4. There are not many who will celebrate a deserter running away from a combat. Especially, after only his 4 months service while running away because of some proceeding against him. But perhaps it's not true, who knows. Similarly, not many had celebrated deserters from other wars, many years ago many of them had been staying (hiding) in Thailand and around. But nothing unusual, the deserters are welcome at the other side of the front.
  5. If you believe that superpowers are measured by GDP? Then it's a mystery why economy of many countries - especially those on top of GDP - is currently in turmoil? In fact, I did not expect that you will provide a proof on your statement of destroying civilisation. Anyway, I am afraid that the off-topic will no longer be tolerated once the off-topic is not positive. And you might know that the result of Plus and Minus is Zero...
  6. Quite a lot of strong statements you surely could provide credible links to. Do you want further debate this topic in this thread? Then, I am afraid the mod will not be happy...
  7. Meanwhile, close adviser to Zelensky resigned amid the conflicting reports about the missile dropped on apartment building. (His remarks discussed also in other thread). Ukraine War: Zelensky adviser resigns over Dnipro remarks Ukrainian presidential adviser Oleksiy Arestovych has offered his resignation after suggesting a Russian missile which hit a building in Dnipro, killing 44 people, was shot down by Kyiv. Mr Arestovych apologised and said he had made a "fundamental error". The original remark caused widespread anger in the country, and was used by Russian officials to blame Ukraine. The adviser is a well-known figure because of his daily updates on YouTube, watched by millions. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky has not yet commented on Mr Arestovych's decision to resign. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-64304310
  8. They are sending whatever spare they are having. But it's not much left for themselves - in fact, will they ever need it? Some claim that the purpose of the fighting is to clear off the weaponry, some say it's for wearing off all parties (in Europe). As in German media reported the former military adviser to Angela Merkel brig. gen. Erich Vad is against the weapon supply as it is not much of quality and as it does not bring Ukraine much closer to a peace, population is suffering. Over half million of German citizens have signed a letter to Chancellor Scholz asking not to carry on with the military supplies. Similar letters are also in other EU countries. Haven't something similar been recently expressed also by Chief Of Joint Staff Mark Milley? It hasn't been much publicised, has it?
  9. So, do the elected branches of government follow the will of the population within few days to a complete U-turn? For instance in the matter of illegal immigration?
  10. Whether parliament (i.e. people) is supreme or a (supreme) court is supreme? As we can just see one seat in a parliament can decide completely differently than the previous parliament with different seats, e.g. in case of immigration, legal proceeding, to name just few. Whether it shows the changed will of the population? And why we often read, e.g. Clinton appointed judge, Trump appointed judge? Aren't the justice independent no matter who appointed the judges? So, who does pursue the democratic will of the population?
  11. Was it a question? Many links I provided you have obviously missed to see. And many that have been disappeared. And if you read properly my post the news name - not Russian friendly - I have provided, here is the full link if it is allowed: https://meduza.io/feature/2023/01/15/aleksey-arestovich-soobschil-chto-rossiyskuyu-raketu-razrushivshuyu-dom-v-dnepre-mogla-sbit-ukrainskaya-pvo-a-zatem-zayavil-chto-skazal-ob-etom-zasypaya-na-hodu And here it is in English, also about the later retraction of the story: https://news.russia.postsen.com/covid-19/166259.html Also on other forums... Who wants to know can search, can't he?
  12. We see it when criticizing any authority. Then, if the outrage of the critics is quite strong and it could harm his/her career, an apology will be later issued, sorry I did not mean it.
  13. It's not me who is spinning the news. And the narrative was not mine. That the truth is not always pleasant for somebody to read is not my problem. Of course I too do not approve of missiles firing on energy systems. But it always happens in any war, haven't you known about such wars? Hopefully, it was not you who was involved in something like that.
  14. What's so difficult to understand - and being disappointed? It's not just the Rich and educated Russians but all population repeatedly electing with a high approval rate somebody who has brought the country from nearly collapse to a superpower within 2 decades. And that he was an ex KGB man? Do you know any country that exists without having thousands men in an intelligence agency? And don't you know about other case when a director of such intelligence agency became a president? Only it's not emphasized in such a way you show it.
  15. Just straightening the news a bit. Surely, no missiles firing is okay with me. No need to fire it on me, I did not start the war and I do not support the war as others. A straightening of the news is not okay for you?
  16. They are neutral when they can supply their precise weapons to any country able to pay. WW 1 and 2, in-between and afterwards.
  17. Actually, the Russian missile was allegedly not aimed on apartments but on energy equipment somewhere. Few sources - among them medusa.io that is really no pro-Putin friend - quoted Alexei Arestovich, adviser to Zelenskyy, saying that the missile that fell down on a nine-story residential building in Dnipro was shot down by Ukrainian air defence forces. He later backtracked his statement.
  18. How are they neutral when they have joined the EU on all 7 sanction packages?
  19. But after all, they (the people) honoured him with their trust, that's why so many elected him, didn't they?
  20. Perhaps they did not see the widespread outrage. Did you?
  21. So, because of such peanut problem it would be pity not to have him for another 4 years in the highest post.
  22. A nice example of the sheepish belief: The real facts and figures are surely in the "independent" media... Not as found on the ground of the host countries?
  23. For the record: The same action - on the other side of the river (and of the front line) - was reported in November last year.
