  1. So if you haven't ever grown and collected food for your own needs, you have never experienced real life. Thanks.
  2. Maybe the most famous Thai cohabitor: Yingluck 'Poo' Shinawatra. She has one son, Supasek, with her common law husband, Anusorn Amornchat. Anusorn was an executive of the Charoen Pokphand Group and managing director of M Link Asia Corporation PCL https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yingluck_Shinawatra#Personal_life
  3. No problem -- it's her house.
  4. They don't look like 36C to me.
  5. As per the (stock) photo I posted above: 36C
  6. Sure, Dear, we can get by on xx,000 per year, BUT ...
  7. A girl that marries you but doesn't at all like you.
  8. What about fake wives even married ones?
  9. Just to note that when I applied for Social Security years back it was handled in Baltimore. What was a bit unsettling, at first, was that the officer who responded had a (definitely) Nigerian name. But everything went smoothly -- reason for phone conversation was maybe declining Part B benefits.
  10. ... or the only standing foreigners have here is based on the size of one's (hush yo mouth), nothing else.
  11. So, next time, don't tell them you are going to Isaan. Just tell them that you're going to spend time on the Khorat Plateau. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khorat_Plateau
  12. The topic heading was what is your favorite food at 7-11. The topic heading was NOT what foods can you eat at 7-11 (or anywhere) to avoid diabetes.
  13. Per se the topic heading.
  14. So how many trips to the 7-11 does it take before one develops diabetes?
  15. That's OK. Sometimes they just got to tell someone.
  16. So this is a topic about favorite 7-11 foods which, I will presume, one does not eat every day but still the topic strays to excess carbohydrates, diabetes and weight gain. Yet when there is a pub topic What low/medium price wine do you recommend? and one can presume there are at least some people on here who consume wine or other alcohol daily, not one mention of liver damage or cirrhosis of the liver. Maybe because the homeopathic / natural remedies anti-BigPharma crowd are also more than 'light' alcohol consumers. https://www.nhsinform.scot/illnesses-and-conditions/stomach-liver-and-gastrointestinal-tract/alcohol-related-liver-disease
  17. So even on a -- I would presume -- fun-type Pub topic like favorite foods at 7-11, some of you guys can't help but turn this into a self-help health Dr. Oz sub forum.
  18. Even a McDonald's triple cheeseburger every now & then isn't going to hurt as long as it is not habitual. Why not save all the carbo and diabetic stuff for the Health Forum.
  19. Maybe less but still a decent walk just to get to the Skytrain when you've recently had hip replacement surgery. It is one stop Skytrain to the nearest Villa Market -- that is OK because it suffices for a couple of days' meals.
  20. Normal human? Ok. So when someone asked one of my late parents "How are you?" My Father would answer with a clipped: Fine My Mother would answer with a 10 minute prognosis.
  21. Where I stay there is just one in easy walking distance. To get to any reasonable restaurant for me is one or 2 SkyTrain stops away.
  22. I tend to more believe when there is a link to a credible source beyond a retelling of ones personal experiences. But at least there is an IGNORE button on here so people don't have to hear things they don't want to hear.
  23. This isn't the health forum. Some wanted to say what is their 7-11 favorites. But to you that is a reason to go on about diabetes and carbohydrates. This is a list of cause of death 65+ atleast in USA. The Leading Causes of Death in 65+ Year The leading causes of death among adults over the age of 65 are also among the most common causes of death among the population as a whole. 1 Heart Disease 2 Cancer 3 COVID-19 4 Cerebrovascular Disease (Stroke) 5 Alzheimer's Disease 6 Chronic Lower Respiratory Disease 7 Diabetes 8 Accidents 9 Nephritis Kidney inflammation, or nephritis, can be sudden (acute) or long-lasting (chronic). 10 Pneumonia and Influenza https://www.verywellhealth.com/top-causes-of-death-among-adults-over-65-2967470 So I don't see where that 53% number comes from. BTW I thought I was already on your ignore list.
