Conspiracies? Maybe he meant the RAISIN conspiracy. Hanson is from Selma, CA where his family has owned a farm/ranch since the late 1800's. With 90 percent of U.S. raisins produced within eight miles of Selma, the city adopted the slogan “Raisin Capital of the World” in 1963. * The conspiracy involves the agricultural marketing order whereby grape/raisin farmers are required to keep a bumper raisin crop off the market to stabilize prices. It went all the way to the Supreme Court.
