    Even these days , you can get large bags of frozen peas, cauliflower, sprouts etc for about a Pound each , sausages or bacon or whatever and make a large healthy meal for about Pound

    Although the increase in interest rates were pretty much known by all at the time , it was inevitable after the USA's inflation rate figures were released and the U.K really had to follow suit , so it doesn't matter who would have been in charge , UK's interest rates needed to rise and that was common knowledge.

    I don't remember the last time I used coins or notes . I cannot recall the last time that I spent money . Its still widely in use, but I just don't have any ????

    The Pound has recovered against the $ and has gained what it lost last week and it wasnt such a big issue
