What is "double wow" about ten Pounds per day ? You have 9 months to submit a tax return after the tax year has ended , then 3 months after that and a 100 Pound fine for late submission , you get fined 10 Pounds per day .

It most probably is the fine for not filling in a tax return . Its a 100 Pound fine for filling a late return and then a 10 Pound per day fine after that and over two years , that would be 7 K He will still be getting a 10 Pound a day fine and that will continue until he submits his tax return

He would still have to submit a self assessment tax return, even if he never worked or lived in the U.K for the whole year . He is being fined for not submitting a tax return , rather than being fined for non payment of tax

You can appeal against the fine . I know a tax agent in the U.K who can appeal against the fine and he charges 10 % of the fine and he's quite good at making appeals . P.M me if you want his contact details

Yes, but my point is that that isn't "serious devaluation" and the Pound was over valued before Brexit and needed to come down a bit and also having a strong currency is a double edged sword .
