    Fury Wilder 3

Looks like main event fight time should be no earlier than 10am, Thai time (4am BST). Per this article. https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/boxing/fury-vs-wilder-3-date-fight-time-undercard-prediction-latest-odds-ring-walks-b958911.html
  3. I noticed this yesterday(8th). A Wise transfer from UK to BB, using the 'long stay' reason at 7.00am came through within seconds rather than the usual 2.00pm. Have not updated my bank book as yet, to see if, as now seems likely, it is not tagged as FTT. As some have said, it may just be a temporary issue, as happened a couple of years back, or a more permanent change. Yes, a bank letter / credit advice can assist to confirm these are foreign transfers, but there have been reports of IO's insisting on seeing the bank book and flagging this as a problem if the FTT, or similar, notation is missing.
  4. This earlier topic has some info on availability in Pattaya area. https://aseannow.com/topic/1234295-covid-vaccine-passport-pattaya/?tab=comments#comment-16876764
  5. Yup, especially those who are in full-time work. We have four grandkids (ages 6-11) staying with us with the father (my son) working full-time in Bangkok. He does his best to act as liaison between the teachers and the kids but is in a high pressure job with a bank.. I can assist with any English topics, but Thai......... The eldest is controlling the Line messages for his younger siblings and has been struggling at times. He is just wishing for the schools to re-open. As we all are..........
  6. For those who may need advance warning of Bangkok Bank mobile unavailability, have just seen a warning that Mobile Banking will be temporarily unavailable on Saturday 16th October from 02.00 to 07.00. Of course, always possible of over-runs by a couple of hours or so. Forewarned is forearmed...........
  7. You mentioned BPH in an earlier post. My experience, having had 1 dose of AZ at BPH in mid August is: During the vaccination process you are given some paperwork to fill in/have signed by the staff. All is handed over before departing except for a generic paper with info of your 2nd dose date. Luckily I took a photo of the other paperwork and on that paperwork is a 13 digit number. I downloaded the Mor Prom app and used the 13 digit number as my ID and registered with that and my mobile number. So, if you do not have access to your 13 digit number you should contact BPH. Contact via facebook messenger may be the easy option - have found that to be efficient and speedy on other contacts with BPH. This, of course, assumes you did have BPH as the vaccine provider.
  8. The location in Naklua was discussed/confirmed on this other thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/1233769-covid-vax-2-at-bang-sue-railway-station-vax-centre/?tab=comments#comment-16865216
  9. Reminds me when I was working in Kelantan in the 90's. As a short-cut from our project office. we could access the main road via a company constructed steepish, winding track that was bounded by a rock face and a steep drop into a jungly mess of trees and bushes. After working late I headed up the track in my car and coming round a bend, in my headlights, suddenly spotted an elephant up against the rock face, just a few yards away. Luckily it remained static and I passed it without incident. Reversing and turning was not an option, especially at night. At the top of the track we had a guard post and one of the security guys was extremely agitated when he gave me the news about an elephant on the track. I mentioned I had passed it and thanks for the news, anyway!! Now, if it had decided to charge the car............gulp!!

  13. A report of Pfizer given to 2,300 Pattaya based Thais is in this press report from August. https://thepattayanews.com/2021/08/17/2300-banglamung-and-pattaya-residents-get-first-dose-of-a-pfizer-covid-19-vaccine/ Likely to be other instances, but maybe only reported in local Thai press.. But, clearly, not just limited to foreigners. However, not widely available by all accounts.
  14. Nope. Non Thai 40 and over, or those with medical conditions. Expand by clicking the 'see more' and all will be revealed.
  15. Have you tried BHP, Pattaya? They currently have a registration drive for non-Thais over 40's on their facebook page. See the details on their post of 29 September. This is for Pfizer. Worth a try and if any queries (e.g. visa/resident issues) they respond quickly to messenger questions. https://www.facebook.com/bangkokhospitalpattaya
  16. Same guy? https://aseannow.com/topic/1229896-koh-samui-immigration-and-local-police-arrest-russian-drug-dealer/
  17. Another Pfizer registration drive at BHP per their facebook page. Register from 29Sep to 06Oct. https://www.facebook.com/bangkokhospitalpattaya
  18. The Wise 'Guide to THB transfers' provides a comment on such transfers. Final para refers. https://wise.com/help/articles/2932335/guide-to-thb-transfers
  19. Yes, via their app. A notice came up. I have a number of UK banks that send me SMS's when banking with them. None of them send me emails or SMS's when maintenance is planned. It is always when logging onto their apps or website. When I logged on yesterday I was able to make a transaction. So your comment is not correct.
  20. As other posters have noted, advice of the maintenance was on both their App and website. I personally saw the notice on their App about a week or so back. Rather hard to miss. Their website indicates the date of the notice as 13th September, so plenty of notice to regular users. As for the downtime. No idea when they came back 'live' but I logged onto the App before 2pm yesterday with no problem.
  21. Seems you have been extremely lucky or don't bank in the UK. https://www.bbc.com/news/business-49412055 I would hardly call a planned, and advised, maintenance that over-runs by a couple of hours 'go dark'. But, maybe. that's just me.
  22. So your 'with the exception of Thailand' comment? Maybe you should try to understand what you wrote first.....
  23. You appear to have missed Indonesia, Myanmar and Philippines from your comment on SE Asia 'red list' countries. Not really difficult to check. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/red-amber-and-green-list-rules-for-entering-england#red-list
  24. Wise use Deemaney as one of their agents for credits of 'transfers' into Thailand. Similar to their other agents: e.g. Bangkok Bank / Kasikorn.
