  1. Im of the thought process that things like this rarely happen to innocent victims. We all know the scams, we all know how the supers go missing and non-responsive when it comes to deposits. That deposit was gone the month it was given. The owner never had any intention on giving it back and overstaying two weeks certainly didn't help the vandal in getting the deposit back. I would never do something like this, but I can see how someone who is less stable emotionally would.
  2. I can't really go into details here but it's happened on multiple occasions. It can be probably be categorized as "VIP Express Service" I guess
  3. Good luck on it all bud. Ive had nothing but issues with marriage visa. There's a lot of scrutiny at the immigration office in Bangkok especially if you do not own a home and rent. There's so many ways for them to deny you and make you come back. So if you go this route make sure that you follow each step to the letter. I was denied my visa and made to come back last year because my bank account slipped to 398K for a few hours while waiting for a bank transfer to clear from the US. And mind you that ws the third year I went to renew my spouse visa. They look for ways to make you miserable. Or extort you. Best of luck.
  4. She probably has no clue what you're saying. If you indeed pronounced it the way you spelled it you were asking for either gold or something about your stomach. And nung ? What does that mean? Nong? As in younger person? Sai toong na kap, probably will work. Give it a whip next time
  5. People from western countries come here and lose their minds. The things you think are gonna get you, aren't the things that get you or drive you crazy. It's the small things, that over time grate, irritate and add up that cause meltdowns like this. In addition to the blistering heat, possible dehydration, and who knows what substances ingested. Add a woman into the equation and you've got the perfect recipe for a major malfunction like this
  6. Granted that Thai humor is more of the slapstick nature and intelligent or tongue in cheek humor usually flies overhead. However, in the 7 years we've been together I've exposed her to things that are humorous in nature that tend to be more on the witty, intelligent, and or tongue in cheek type and she's finally started to pick up on it. She shocked me one time when she used one of my jokes against me. She sees the humor in Big Lebowski. She understands some of the stuff thats funny about old episodes of Arrested Development. Archer is still quite over her head. But the important thing is that she's trying
  7. Seems like nothing a good ol fashion wai and a bow won't solve </sarcasm>
  8. My standards for what's cool have changed over the years. Ive gotten to the point now where I've given up alcohol and nightlife but a few years ago I was enjoying some of the more loungey places where you can get bottle service and a table for your party. 335, Rabbit Hole, and Iron Balls used to be good for that. Before COVID when I was more into the House scene 12x12 was a great spot followed up by T-Rex at 2 or 3 am. Depends what you're looking for. There's something for everyone here. Thats the great thing about BK.
  9. I don't understand the fascination with Ketamine. Even some 25 years ago when I was much younger and dumber it was just never something I thought was enjoyable.
  10. One demographic, three countries, 100% of the complaints. Who wants to go first?
  11. Sad story. Heartbreaking for his family. I think of all the times I was out drinking what was passed off as Lao Kao when it could have easily been anything. The one thing I would never do though is mess with the dope here. There's so many other places in the world to go if you wanna mess with drugs. Let this serve as a warning to any young kids coming over here....make sure your drinks come from a bottle, can or something that you open and for fuxsake stay away from drugs. If you're lucky it's crushed up glass. Be safe and RIP young man
  12. During Year 2 when I lived in Chiang Mai and life here was still an adventure i had a thai friend explain to me....."sometime..you just need to sleep where u are. U take a break and go later"
  13. People living in US haven't been happy in a while I'm surprised it took this long to score this low. Life there has been miserable for over 10 years...I left in 2016 and have gone back a few times. Each time I feel less and less like I fit there. It's a weird cuz there's things I miss but I want to enjoy those things here.
  14. who the fuk wears a red Yankees hat?
  15. YES!!!! This. It's absolutely maddening when you ask a yes or no question and there's a dance around the topic with still no clear answer given. This is right around the time my face starts getting a really irritated look that my wife tells me "is not helping your situation". Every reason why I have a lawyer who handles anything related to immigration and officials
  16. A wise man once told me...you're paying for her to go away afterwards. Other than that, if it were me I'd say it saves time and energy. When I was a younger man I used to like the idea of seducing women. I had a lot more free time back then. Life now is busy. Needs to be like a grocery store item that I check off my list. I couldn't care less about the emotional connection. I get more out of talking to myself or my stray cats.
  17. Yep...add 2001Ibiza to that list too. That one I've been to but seeing it now would never return
  18. Lived in Thailand 10 years...Places Ive never gone and will probably never go Koh Phangan Phuket Koh Phi Phi Koh Tao Pai I did go to Samui on my first trip here in 2012 but spent the entire time on grounds at the Conrad.
  19. 1993 Rx7 R1, with every bolt-on mod one could do. Ran 12.4 in a quarter mile on street tires. I loved that car. Purchased in 1998 gave her up in 2001
  20. Just arrest them. They have to start making examples. And if you get arrested you can't come back for a year. Two arrests you're banned. You wouldn't be doing this type of thing in there strict SE Asian countries. Why go to another country to be a douch3
  21. Look cool and be charming. Smile a lot at strangers. Go to a lounge with a bud, raise your glass to a table of ladies that glance your way. They're looking for you to notice them. If they raise their glass back to you order a round to their table. Smile at them when it arrives. Then go over there and talk to them. This works best if you're only with one friend. Don't bring a pack of hungry dogs with you. When I lived in Chiang Mai I literally met a girl without even speaking to her until she walked past my table to leave. We had "air communications " all night raising glasses, smiling, pretending to text each other, tossing air messages to each other. Make a game of it. These girls like the cutesy <deleted>. That was 7 years ago, had a fling with her, wasn't gonna work out as she was extremely jealous but we're still friends to this day. Remember that in a room full of Thai people, if you're the handsome charming foreigner, you're somewhat of a token. People will notice you , you'll stand out so use it to your advantage.
  22. Excellent advice man.
  23. Insufferable wench. Needs to be choked out a bit
