  1. Go to a therapist and get on a proper rehab program that you can work into your weekly routines. Lower back issues come from a variety of things and sometimes aren't related to the back as much as they are to the hip and abdominal weaknesses. Then get into a gym like fitness first and hire a trainer for maybe 10 sessions so they can set you up with a program. After that if you're the type who doesn't need guidance or handholding then ditch the trainer and just use what you've learned. Pulling stuff off of YT is good if you have a strong foundation and body awareness and are able to make the muscle /mind connection. Define what your goals are and structure your training so that you run it in cycles. For example...you mentioned wanting to build upper body, so for 8 weeks work on resistance training. Make sure your form is correct. Lower the weight if needed and use proper form, bracing with abs, allowing your muscles to contract and lift the weight as they are meant to. Dont ego lift, it's not worth it, did it for years. Fk'd myself good and plenty. Anyhow, work on progressively either adding a rep or weight each session during the 8 week period. At the end of 8 weeks switch to a different phase, which may be something where you peel back the weight and add in more plyometric movements or band work. Maybe learn how to work with kettlebells. This is why Im saying get a trainer. There's tons of ways to get to your goal but you dont know what you dont know. Feel free to reach out to me thru DM if you need help. I dont train people anymore but I'll advise and answer your questions f you want including places to go for rehab and recovery work. About me...38 years training, played sports entire life, baseball and wrestling mostly. Have 2 degenerative discs that I train around now. Rehabbed recently from sciatica. Last year had a double hernia repaired that I got from deadlifting the wrong way. Used gear during my 30s to get big, ripped, and strong. Realized in my 40s that was really stupid to do. Now at 50 its all about training so I can train another day, week, month. Still taking batting practice once or twice a week Current programming includes, cycling resistance programs, cycling low intensity cardio with high intensity cardio, sprints, agility work, strength and speed. I train at a couple of different Fitness First Facilities. Monthly its about 2900. Trainers there are more...they have packages but if you get the lowest package and take it from there your investment will be minimal. best of luck
  2. Worst throwie in the history of graffiti. And Thailand has some of the most <deleted> graffiti Ive ever seen too.... To be competitive at this level is a real accomplishment
  3. I'll echo this with what I have experience. Prior to about a month ago, my Wise transfers from USA bank to Bangkok Bank would occur within seconds. If I was transferring over 30K baht then it might take a few hours or in extreme cases the next day. Within the past month I've been struggling with transfer having them range from a few hours to a few days. My most recent transfer of 15K was sent last Thursday and didn't arrive until today. Absolutely absurd Tried the same transfer with my Wife's SCB bank and it was 18 minutes. Not sure whats happening or whats causing this but seems like we went backwards a few yers with this
  4. I was looking at Mood & Tone for some furniture...how is the build quality? About a year ago I had a sideboard custom made from one of these places that claims to be a furniture factory and the wood literally split within a week of it being in my home. They agreed to repair it but returned it in basically the same state. Its been a year and it's continued to develop cracks so just curious if I can trust MT?
  5. Excellent choice. You're a gentleman of distinguished taste 🙂 Funny story...when I ordered my HM I kinda expected it to be delivered like all my other furniture back home was...with the store branded delivery truck coming and unloading in front of your home. So I was sitting there waiting for the Chanintr truck to come like a kid waiting for the ice cream man A pickup truck with a husband and wife pulled up, unboxed it in the parking lot, gave it to me and took a photo of me standing there with it. So ya, I had to wheel a 700 dollar chair thru my parking lot and up 3 floors. most anti-climactic delivery of my life
  6. Herman Miller Sayl - Chanintr 22K in 2021 Had one of these back home and needed to rebuy it when I came here. If you have back or hip issues I highly advise investing in something good
  7. SEAsia is possibly one of the worst places in the world to mess with drugs....for reasons ranging from penalties to poor quality. In a land of fakes and knock offs just why? I dont even trust the weed here.
  8. Thanks for the info. I wonder if Wise is rolling out a different funding methods that might include fees. I opened a support query with them and they told me that 0-4 days is the normal period of time for transfers and if I wanted them faster I should select a different method. But they didn't happen to mention which method, so I'm still here wondering WTH's going on. Anyhow...thanks for your kind replies
  9. Bangkok Bank. Are the changes temporary or is this going forward?
  10. Just curious if anyone is still noticing this is an issue this month. Just did a 1500 Baht transfer from my US bank to Thai bank and its telling me its going to pay out within the next 24 hours. What is going on with these guys. This was never like this before.
  11. Are you admitted for the process? My insurance will cover but only if I'm admitted
  12. Since moving from the West to Thailand one thing has become very obvious to me. There's great importance placed on whether or not her life gets better being with you. It's as simple as that. If she's making 15K a month then her means of sending money to her family are quite minimal. In her eyes and her parents eyes, thats her obligation and most likely the reason they had children...to help support them in their old age. So if she's dating a guy who can help her to do her thing and make herself look better in her family's eyes then ya, she's gonna ask you for help. They all ask for help in one way or another. Women here are very different than women in the west. Women here want to be taken care of, whether it's a vacation, an allowance, a car, a home, or an iPhone...they want some token of affection from the guy they are giving their time to. Otherwise, what's the point of dating you? The women here don't give a sh!t how cool you are or how great you are at badminton, how much of a guitar pro you are unless you have the credentials and finances to back it. I paid for my wife's (gf at the time) Masters Degree and post-graduate studies for which she enrolled in the US and did remotely. Why, because it was a solid ask for help that would not only help her improve her life but help her improve her family's life, and ultimately help her be better in our relationship. Men provide value in their relationships...whether it's money, security, a family or all of these. If it's worth it to you then so be it. Be happy about it and dont look for validation here. Godspeed bro
  13. Ok...the example helped clarify. Point taken. Made money off bitcoin once in December of 2017 when I sold at 14K. Who knew. Would have been pretty damn good right now had I not. As for it now, I'm in BITO because it pays dividends (for now) and is much less risky Cheers
  14. So you're an advocate of all-in? That sounds very unlike your generation and more like a crypto bro mentality
  15. It's an irresponsible strategy to go all in on an investment whether it plays out or not. No financial advisor or wealth manager is going to pat you on the ass and say wow I'm impressed by your great timing and diamond hands'ing that all in move broooo." It shows a lack of knowledge depth and understanding. Card counting is a strategy. All -in on anything, strategy or not isn't a prudent move. Ive done this for over 25 years and retired at 40 (ten years ago) off diligence, hedging, and diversification in the markets.
  16. Anyone going 'all-in' on any particular instrument or commodity should stay the hell out of investments. Besides demonstrating a non-existent understanding of diversification its the absolute stupidest idea in the entire world of investments
  17. To be honest, I never thought I'd say it but I wish they would regulate it. In my opinion the quality of tourists declined right around the time they made weed legal to purchase at every street stall in Bangkok. Ive smoked weed since I was 14 years old (I'm 50 now) but the types I see here getting stoned and about are amongst some of the lowest caste of the drug user society. I remember going to raves in the 90s and every once n a while you'd stumble upon groups of drug users and you'd notice that something about a particular group was more desperate or dire than just your happy go lucky weed smokers. I see a lot of that here lately.
  18. This makes me really sad. When I started coming here in 2012 I started getting into the music because it was fun to be out with friends at the local hangs and know the words. The girls used to seem to dig it too. Reminds me of a really fun time in life. The bands in those early days were so good
  19. Only buy supplements off the shops on Lazada that have the LazMall or Official Shop stamps. Otherwise you're rolling the dice. Got caught up in this a few times.
  20. Theo did a decent job, 4 or 5 playoffs and a WS...which for the Cubs took 108 years. I was on my way here in 2017 when they won it. Saw the last inning at Incheon airport. Woke up the next morning in Bangkok to Cubs news in Thai on the back page of the Times. Got my wife into baseball so I have someone to watch with. Kinda explained to her that if you were from somewhere with non major market teams you kinda needed to pick some big market teams if you wanted to see magic in October. I dont understand Chicago in general. For a city our size they dont put money into sports teams
  21. I bet your creative writing teacher loved you. 🙂 ":primed to deliver on their shameful pact." Thats brilliance
  22. Nice. please beat the Cubs. Lived in Chicago 42 years before moving here. Sox management hates us fans.

  25. "with a mere 10% chance of happening in a lifetime, they highlight a non-zero risk." groundbreaking revelation. Tell us wise sage...is there anything thats not a non-zero risk in life.
