  1. The correct term is of course; "Tourist-VISA exempt".... And that is a VISA-FREE stay in Thailand for 30 days, for citizens from certain countries among USA among others..... You just come to Thailand, and are automaticly stamped in for 30 days... You can then extend that stay for another 30 days... But after that you need to to something like an extension of stay i.e. Glegolo
  2. I have a friend who have been "following" the writings from an american lawyer living in Bangkok I thnk!! This american writes and claims that the conversions that many use to do is now put to an end by the immigration here in Thailand. I am thinking in terms of arriving to Thailand from i.e. EU on tourist-VISA or excempt and wish to convert to a non imm O followed by an extension of stay based on either retirement or marriage to a thai national.... Is this not possible anymore, or is this just some fake news??? Thanks for your input, glegolo
  3. I think both of you shoot over the gool. U.Joe was expressing how it is overall, not for you 2 guys in particular.. Exceptions are never any good base for opinions.. glegolo
  4. a - BUT in his case he has entered for 3 years ago with a O-A and have a present extension retirement valid up to may 2022.... Does he need any insurance whatsoever if he continues applying for retirement???? b - AND you say that if he have a non immigrant O-A in the passport and choose to change to extension of stay to marriage, he does NOT need any insurance???? glegolo
  5. medical insurance, what is that more exactly?? Coverage??? Amount?? glegolo
  6. As said, he have today and valid to may 2022 extension based on retirement.... Is he still OK and need no insurance in spite of that damn O-A???? glegolo
  7. I am wondering about 2 things in respect of changing VISA inside Thailand as well as insurance for the both of them Can you plse help me out, that would really be great; a - I friend of mine told me that immigration in Lppburi told him that they can help him to change his present Extension of stay based on retirement to an Extension of stay based on marriage. I understand that, and I know that is no big deal actually!!! He is having in his passport a Non Immigrant O-A, that this present extension is based on,,,, But now the thing I need to ask you guys..... They also told him that he will be off the insurance and do NOT need any insurance, if he let them change to extension based on marriage based still on the very same O-A??? Is this true.......??? b - Is it possible that they can change a O-A to a Non Imm O and add an extension based on marriage next time he is upp for renewal????? Thanks for your input, Glegolo

I did try to book BS Residence out at the Suvarnabhumi airport.... But now a friends wife called them and their response was, "no we dont do any testing"!!!! 10. I just saw the answer to my question in the latest bulletin sorry to have made Dr Jack54 confused. Hope it will get better... But I also read the following, which makes me ask you guys... How much is that in money or how do he find out where and what to pay this amount..... quote The prepayment should cover both the 1-night accommodation, the required RT-PCR COVID-19 test, and an Antigen Test Kit (ATK). unquote
  11. Hi Guys, do anybody knows if it is possible for a guy coming in from i.e. Sweden (yes among the 46), and he wants to join his family up in Muang Khong in provins of Nakhon Ratschasima??? I mean he is going from Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) i night stay at a hotell and then straight to Khorat, is that even possible and allowed? Appreciate you ansers guys... glegolo
  12. Yes I do not understand that either.. Living next to Germany, woah!! That narrow it down..... Shall we guess on; Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, France, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic or Poland!!!!!!! All next to Germany!!! glegolo
  13. This is just plain wrong information, If you are married in Sweden USA or wherever, that is one thing. or you are just married in your homecountry that is another.. So these people need to register their foreign marriage here in Thailand at their local ampue and move on from there. glegolo
  14. Thanks for your reply OK good idea will contact the hotel in question glegolo
  15. Do anyone have the knowledge or experience if you have prebooked and prepaid 14 days and now the quarantine is down to 7 days only, is there any chance in hell to get a refund. Have you heard anything, any exemples of such a wonder?? thanks glegolo
  16. Do any one of you guys know how long time in beforehand you can apply for COE at the embassy.. Friend leaving Sweden 19 november. Is it way too early now, and when is it suitable to apply in order not to end up in trouble timewise. Thank you, glegolo
  17. I do not at all find it confusing, and I am not even an native english speaker.... Maybe you just lack the insight...... I clearly gave you the exact demands this office had towards my friend. And I wrote also what he wanted to have.... So there is no confusing more than these freaking demands. that more seems to indicate an application for extension of stay based on marriage to me.. glegolo
  18. I have a friend that says he is having big problem with immigration office in Nakhon Si Thamarath regard his extension of stay based on retirement. He claims that they demand, in spite of having an income-verification from swedish embassy, they ALSO on top of that demands a bankbalance with all in and outs for the whole year showing not less than 800K baht... They demands further photos with him and his wife with the address visable in the photo AND a google mapfoto showing the area where he lives.... I did ask him, you sure you are applying for retirement and not Marriage-extension?? But he said firmly yes, retirement. May I ask you guys that knows about this Immigration office in N S Thamarath, is this true or a misunderstanding though?? thank you, glegolo
  19. What concerns an englishman and hos currency do NOT concern a swedish guy and HIOS currency when it comes to transfer money. So please do not speak so definately about different currencies that you know nothing about.... When it comes to Sweden and the absolutely best thing to do is to transfer thai baht. To leave than exchange in the hands of the thai banks for us is a disaster.... So for GBP, you know better but for SEK I know better... What concerns USD, have no clue, do you, really?? glegolo
  20. How long time in beforehand can you apply for a COE, have tried to look it up but can not find any answers. Any of you guys that knows this??? Thank you, glegolo
  21. So there have been availible in the past multiple entry 90 day Non Immigrant O VISAS??? I thought they were just single entry??? glegolo
