Can anybody plse help me and inform what documents is needed to make an 30 day extension of a Tourist-VISA. Thank you so much.

This is a stupid and completely ignorant comment. Grow up and try to adapt to way of life here in Thailand, if you even living here, that is....

You speak of 2 completely different kind of expats. where 1 is the argumentative one (as you said) thinking he knows it all... And the other one is very often a complete novis, left everything to wifey and do not understand the process at all.. But I can tell you that there is a huge crowd of expats, knowing their way around Immigration and the rules, and are fully capable of performing an extension of stay based on retirement. I think that to achieve this level, you really need to show some interest and be part of the process, and not take the easy way out and sleep it out, and let old wifey take charge....

I do 100% fully agree with what you say.... Too many people relay on their wifes and therefore loses control completely, and do not even know the rules that apply to these extensions... Man up, like said...... I mean it reaks of misunderstandings from OP here....

F.y.i. I have it confirmed from a close friend that he got his extension (have a O-A) here in Chaiyaphum. He came here on O-A and was going for retirement like he always is.. But did found out that Immigration (Chaiyaphum), said that he needed a health insurance.... He (his wifey) did ask, so if they apply based on marriage instead?? That was OK NO health insurance was needed.... So he got his extension based on marriage and he is happy, So Dr Jack is correct...

I am still curious if you need health insurance when you have a Non Imm O-A and applying for extension based on marriage????? Retirement is sorted above, no need there I note.....

May I ask you guys, how is the rules now when it comes to the demand of health-insurance when you are applying for 1 year extensions based on both marriage as well as retirement when you are having a Non O or a Non O-A in your passport???? Is there any need for a health-insurance??

Udon Thani based falang claims that extensions are raised from 1900 baht to 2.500 baht. Is this just the normal uneducated falang-romours or is it true?? Anybody knows..????

This is just uneducated unexperiencied text written by a guy who do not know too much about Thailand.... Democrazy or not, So far the army have done wonders in this country.
